The Next Day...

Toni woke up to texts flooding her phone. She groaned as the bright white light blinded her eyes. When she went to look at the time, it was about 5:55 in the morning. She opened the messages and they were flooded.

Gc Name: The Gang👏🏼

Betty: Toni

Betty: Toni

Kevin: My fellow bi-queen. We need to talk

Josie: Toni, now's not the time to not answer

Josie: Girl, answer the goddamn phone

Sweet Pea: I don't think now's the right time to tell her. It has to be in person.

Toni: What the hell are y'all talking about? And why are y'all up this goddamn early?

Josie: Meet us at Pop's. Now!

Toni: What for?

Sweet Pea: Tiny, we have to talk in-person.

Toni: Okay. Be there in 30.

Josie: Make it 20

Toni: Okay

Toni looked confused as she got out of bed and went to get dressed. She put on a skirt with a bra top and sheer mesh shirt to go over, with a flannel around her waist. She curled her hair a little and put a headband over top. She went downstairs and was met with Melissa who was in the kitchen making coffee.

"Hey, Tiny. What you doing up so early?" Melissa asked as Toni put her shoes on.

"I could ask myself the same thing. The gang said to meet them at Pop's." Toni said as Melissa nodded.

"Fangs and Sweet Pea going?" Melissa asked as the Toni looked at her. Before she could speak, the boys came down the stairs.

"Well, they answered my question." Melissa said as they came down, putting their shoes on. The boys walked next to Toni and looked at Melissa.

"Go ahead. See you guys later." Melissa said as the group of Topaz's kissed her on the forehead. When they left out the house, Sweet Pea stopped them.

"I don't know how today will go, so we're taking both cars." Sweet Pea said as Toni shot him a weird look.

"What's going on? I get woken up at six in the morning, you say that, y'all saying I need to hear something, but you haven't even told me what it's about. Is it about Cheryl or something? Is she hurt?" Toni asked as Sweet Pea sighed.

"Yes, it's about Red. No, she's not hurt. That's all I'm gonna say." Sweet Pea said as he walked to his car. Toni walked to her, Fangs following his twin. The two got into the car and drove down to Pop's. When they arrived, everyone was already there.

Toni walked into Pop's and saw the group of people at a far off booth. The group of Topaz's walked over to the booth and sat down, the other Topaz's following.

"What did you guys blow my phone up for?" Toni asked as Josie looked at her, disappointment and sympathy in her eyes. Toni looked right into them, as if she were reading her.

"What the hell happened?" Toni asked calmly, feeling as though something major and tragic happened.

"Do you want me to show you?" Betty asked as Toni reverted her attention to the blonde.
