3 Months Later...

It's been three months since everything has happened between Cheryl and Toni. Toni's been by Cheryl's side and the say way vice versa. The school's basketball teams made it through their playoffs and were on their last game before the finals.

This game was the topic of the school. It was talked about over the radio, they had posters up across town, and they had the school spirit to carry them through this excited preparation.

The basketball team's been working pretty hard. They've had practice almost everyday of the week, preparing for the expected and unexpected. Fangs filled Toni in on everything that's been going on.

The thing about the whole basketball thing is that Toni wasn't really on the team, but the coach would let Toni practice here and there with the boys, getting some insight into what they were doing and their plans were going to be for every game. He let Toni off the hook for this one time because she told him that she was going through some things and wouldn't be able to be at every single practice, so he told her his plan and she agreed.

The cheerleaders have been put to work. They've practiced almost everyday and when they didn't, they always had something to do that would strengthen up their bodies in some type of way. Cheryl knew how hard it was to consistently work day after day, full energy, so she would let them take 30 minute breaks in between practices.

She also knew the saying, "You can't stop in cheerleading." She wanted to stay true to that quote, but she also wanted to get a break in herself, her working with the others as well. She never left anyone out, so if everyone had to do laps, she did laps as well. Ig everyone had to do planks and chairs, then she did them as well. The training up until that say was brutal for everyone, but they got through it and it would hopefully pay off in the long haul.

Game Day...

The school let out early to help set up for the game. Cheryl and the Vixens have been in and out of class practicing the littlest they could until it was game time. The basketball team was in the gym almost the entire school day, getting themselves prepared for their game. Toni was sitting in the bleachers, watching as everyone got ready for the game that started in only 2 more hours.

She's been wanting to play in this game, but her anxiety and nervousness made those thoughts go away. She was in her thoughts before the sound of her coach's voice caught her attention.

"Toni," he said, walking up to the tanned girl.

"Hey, coach. Everything okay?" Toni asked, looking at the man.

"Clayton, he's been getting injuries lately, but he claims he can play, so I'll give him that. If anything happens during the game, do you want to fill in his spot?" The coach informed. Toni thought out the opportunity ling and hard before answering.

"Yeah, sure." Toni answered. The coach nodded and looked at the boys on the floor.

"Do you think we can win this?" the coach asked, catching Toni off guard.

"I think we can. If everyone cooperates and doesn't take this as a personal sport, then I think we have some real potential." Toni explained. Her coach nodded and stood up from the bleachers.

"Okay. Come on and practice so you can be ready," he said, stepping down, Toni following behind him. As she was waiting for everyone to finish up their current warmup, Cheryl stood beside her.

"Are you playing?" Cheryl asked, after noticing the conversation between the man and Toni.

"Hopefully," Toni said. She was playing with the ring that was on her finger and Cheryl realized that she was nervous.
