28 days before.
Today was going to be a lazy day. I first woke up feeling very nauseous and Luke woke up with an excruciating headache. Luke and I decided that today we were just going to watch a couple of our favorite movies and shows, clean the house, pig out, and later on have the boys come over to help set up for the baby shower, that is happening tomorrow!
It was currently 11:57am on a Saturday morning which was going to be soon afternoon. Luke and I first started off by cleaning the house up a little bit, I just cleaned the kitchen since I really couldn’t do a lot now with this pregnancy and I still felt nauseous. Luke cleaned the bathroom and our bedroom. After all the cleaning we had a quick lunch of broccoli cheese soup with a glass of water.
“Are you feeling any better?” Luke asked.
“A little. I think this soup and water helped a bit” I responded.
“Are you excited for the baby shower tomorrow?” Luke asked again.
“Of course! Been waiting since the start of this pregnancy” I giggled.
“I actually think that Ashton is bringing Morgan over tonight and Michael is bringing Abby over tonight so you can finally meet them” Luke says.
“Great, from what I’ve heard, they sound like some pretty nice people” I say back.
“Well I actually met Morgan and she is extremely nice, I think Ashton told me that he is going to propose to her. And Abby, well I haven’t met her yet so I can’t really say anything about her” Luke giggled.
We both then sat down on the couch, turned on our favorite movie We’re the Millers and then cuddled and laughed through the whole movie. Once it was over we decided to finally start watching the first season of The Walking Dead since Luke has been waiting to finally watch it. We watched the first couple episodes of the season and then called it donezo. It was 5:24pm, we needed to eat dinner before the boys came over at 6. Luke and I decided on a small chicken wrap, which filled us up. Luke quickly cleaned up dinners mess and then the doorbell rang.
“I’ll get it” I told Luke.
I opened the door and said “Hello” and smiled.
“Hi I’m Abby” Abby said while holding out her hand.
“Hello I’m Kaitlyn” I said and we shook hands.
“And I’m Morgan” Morgan said and came in for a hug.
I returned the hug and said “And I’m Kaitlyn” and we all laughed.
Calum, Michael and Ashton walked in and said “Hi.”
“Hey lads. Whatcha been up to?” Luke asked.
“Nothing much, just went out to dinner, all of us exactly” Calum said.
“Where?” Luke asked.
“TGI Friday’s” Calum said.
“We need to go out once day, all of us, once Kaitlyn has the baby. Have a couple drinks and just have fun” Luke suggested.
“Sounds great to me” Ashton replied.
“Are you having a girl or boy?” Abby asked.
“I’m having a girl, Ella is going to be her name” I responded.
“Awe, that’s so adorable. I love babies” Abby said in awe.
“Yes, what a cute name” Morgan said.
The boys decided to chit chat about music and play pool and have a couple drinks downstairs while us girls chit chatted upstairs.
“Would you guys like to have anything to drink? Wine, wine coolers, beer?” I asked while having to be stuck drinking water.
“I’ll have a beer, thank you” Morgan replied.
“I’ll have one also” Abby responded.
We sat at the bar upstairs and just talked about the small little things just to get to know each other better. I can already tell we are going to be great friends, we get along so well and have so much in common.
“So how did you and Luke meet?” Abby asked.
“Funny story, So 3 years ago I was at this party, let’s just say I wasn’t supposed to be in, I snuck in because I wanted to party. I just turned 21 also. So I walk in and I go to the bar and order a drink and then there is a guy, which was Luke, sitting right next to me. He looked bored so I said “Hey” and responded back with a “Hello”. We instantly clicked, same interests and everything. The only thing that I didn’t have in common was that he was in a band, a band that I never heard before. I kinda felt bad for not knowing but he told me not to worry because they weren’t that famous at the time. That was also the time where Ashton was so drunk and he actually scared me because he was drunk, funny right? But I also met the other guys to and they were so nice. Then midnight snuck up and I told Luke that I had to go home, he didn’t want to leave me so he walked back to my place while the other boys just went back to the hotel. And yeah since then we have always talked. Look at me now I am pregnant with his child and we are engaged” I said.
“You’re engaged? How amazing!” Morgan said.
“Oh crap! I wasn’t supposed to say anything! Luke and I were going to wait and announce at the baby shower. Crap. Crap. Crap. Please don’t tell anyone” I laugh.
“Trust us, we won’t” Morgan and Abby said.
“Good. Well do you want to get some things ready for the baby shower tomorrow?” I ask.
“Of course!” Abby and Morgan excitedly say.
After a couple of hours of setting up the baby shower, we mainly getting everything done. The boys came back up, half drunk and say “Well I think it’s time to go, we will see you guys tomorrow.” We exchange hugs and goodbyes and then they leave.
“Wow you guys did an amazing set up!” Luke says.
“Why thank you, I think we did an awesome job, I can’t wait anymore” I say back.
“Well I think I’m going to bed, it’s a big day tomorrow” Luke says.
“And I’m going to join you” I say.
Just like that we go upstairs and peacefully fall asleep. Still not knowing what my future was going to hold.
