19 Days Before
The morning approached the skies of LA. The sun was shining through the hospital windows when I heard a knock at the door.
“Hi! It’s Nurse Caroline” Caroline exclaimed.
“Come in” I yelled.
With that, Nurse Caroline strolled in with Ella and Luke woke up.
“Hello, how was Ella overnight?” I asked.
“Great! She only woke up two times, which is really good for a newborn” Caroline responded.
“That’s wonderful!” I exclaimed.
“Well I’m going to give Ella to you since she needs to be fed, and I will be back later” Nurse Caroline smiled.
“Okay” I answered.
I picked Ella up from her bed and laid her in my arms. I lifted up my gown and attached Ella to my breast. I decided that breast feeding was the best for Ella because of all the benefits that came with it. Luke walked over, planted a kiss on my lips and was anxious to hold Ella.
“Hold on” I laughed, “Ella needs to eat to”
“Can I join her” Luke winked.
With that I hit Luke on the arm and said “What a dirty mind you have”
“That’s me” Luke smiled, “But really I want to see my princess”
“She’s almost done” I smiled and kissed Luke.
While I was finishing up feeding Ella, Luke went down into the cafeteria to grab us some breakfast. Luke came back with a 2 bagels, orange juice and raspberries. I set Ella back in her bed while Luke and I quickly ate.
“So what time do we go back home today?” Luke grumbled.
“Around 5pm” I said.
“Any visitors coming?” Luke asked.
“I hope not, I just want to relax one more night before people start coming again” I responded.
“I get you” Luke smiled.
Luke was the first one to finish breakfast so that meant he could get Ella right away. I already knew that Luke was going to be the best dad ever, by the way he already treats her and how adorable he looks when he looks down at her.
“You guys are adorable, let me take a quick picture” I say.
“Take one on my phone to! How should I pose” Luke exclaimed.
“Okay and just look down at her like you were before” I smiled.
“Okay” Luke responded.
With that, Luke did as I said and I took a couple pictures on his phone and mine.
“Do you mind if I post this on twitter” Luke asked.
“You don’t need to ask me, you already know that I don’t care” I laugh.
“Okay” Luke laughed also.
Ella started crying so that was basically my cue to give her a diaper change. I quickly did that as Luke watched and learned.
“Do you like my new phone background?” Luke said while showing me his phone.
His lock screen showed a picture of him looking down at Ella and his home screen was a picture of all 3 of us that was taken yesterday.
