Diluc x reader | The Tavern

This is a fluff and just what came off the top of my head chapter

I'll be using gender neutral pronouns (they/them) since this is the first chapter without a request hehe.

You felt exhausted from fighting hilichirls and treasure hoarders all day but quite relieved that Venti had decided to join you for the extra help.
"Y/n?" Said Venti with a concerned expression plastered on his face.
"Hm?"
"You look a little off....how about we go get some drinks! That will definitely make you feel better!" Venti's smile was almost to wide mentioning the idea.
"Uh, sure I guess?" You replied hesitantly since you didn't like alcohol unlike the bard that accompanied you.
"Yahoo! Let's get going now I don't want the tavern to be closed before we get there."

You and Venti had now arrived at the tavern's door and Venti had opened it a little too happily. You still followed him though, not wanting to be left behind.
"Good evening Master Diluc!" Venti said joyously.
"You again bard..." Diluc crossed his arms as his gaze shifted towards you.
"Who might you be, traveler?" Diluc asked you.

You were caught off guard gazing at his bright red hair with his crimson eyes that had seen so much. The crimson color of someone not so innocent to the world. Instead they held a tragic story that seemed to have changed him yet you think things over through appearance, you didn't let yourself think too much.
"Ah, I'm Y/n." I replied nervously.

"Please have a seat then, Venti, Y/n."
You nodded to his response and Venti being Venti, he jumped to the stool and eagerly ordered Dandelion Wine.
"What would you like, Y/n?"
"I would like some Grape ju-" as you were going to finish your order Venti interrupted.
"They would also like Dandelion wine! Ehe."
You looked at Venti and frowned as he clearly knew you didn't like alcohol but regardless made you get some.

"Bard, please do not interrupt them when they're ordering,they might not like the same things as you." Diluc said to Venti. It made you feel warm inside, Diluc protecting you from the drunkard.
"Now, without interruptions this time, please finish your order."
"Grape juice please Master Diluc sir."
Diluc looked a bit taken aback by your statement and his cheeks turned a light rose color.
"Please just call me Diluc, and excellent choice you made." He gave a small smile to you that melted your heart that you couldn't help but give a small one back.

"He seems to be quite comfortable around you Y/n~." Venti said teasingly.
"I could definitely write a poem about you two. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) "

Your face rose to a red color and gave Venti a light slap on his back.

"Here you two are." Diluc placed Venti's wine in front of him and set the grape juice down for me.
"Thank you Ma- uh Diluc aha.." You quickly corrected yourself not knowing what Diluc would have done or said to you if you used the formalities again. Diluc gave a light chuckle to your actions. Embarrassed, you sipped your juice as Venti tried getting you to drink wine and Diluc defending you most of the time you all spent together.

"Thank you for the stay, Diluc." You said to the red head.
"It's no problem, you may come back when you please. Allow me to serve you the next time you stay."
"Alright, I will see you soon then!" I said, slinging Venti's arm over my shoulder to walk him home.

They really are something...I will be looking forward to meeting them again soon.
