Every morning you woke up to Kazuha sleeping peacefully beside you. Kazuha made you the happiest person alive, often going out on dates and sailing from time to time.
"Y/n." His voice snapped you out of it. "Let's go out today to watch how nature unfolds." Kazuha's voice said gently. "Only if you want to of course darling." Your cheeks turned a light pink and gave a simple response. "Yes, let's go out."
《Timeskip》
Kazuha held your hand gently and led you to Guyun. He stopped at a large, flat rock and sat atop it. You went ahead and did the same, sitting right next to Kazuha. The breeze felt refreshing, it hitting yours and Kazuha's facial features gently. Kazuha closed his eyes, listening to the sounds of nature. You watched the nature instead of listening. A few hilichurls in the distance doing their little dances, others laying on the sand shores. Birds chirping and flying aimlessly. Clouds making sure the sun wasn't to harsh on anyone.
"Y/n." You heard beside you. "Yes?" "Would you like to hear a recent haiku?" He asked. "Sure thing." So he recited his haiku. (Yes this is from his trailer I'm too lazy to think of one, plus I suck at haikus)
"Solitary cloud," the first line containing the 5 syllables.
"Shadow in the setting sun," Rang his voice, 7 syllables.
"Stirs the drifter's heart." And that was it, the haiku finished off with the last 5 syllables.
Kazuha now looked at you. "Did you like it darling?" He asked. The haikus he told you never failed your expectations, they always were mysterious and wonderful. "Yes I do very much like it." You replied. He smiled sweetly and gave you a peck on the lips. "I'm glad."
~Another timeskip~
He held your hand on the walk home, opening the door for you to walk in first. "Thank you" "Of course darling."
Kazuha shut the door behind you both, gently grabbing your hand and leading you to your guy's room. He lead you to the bed and let out a few simple words. "Let's cuddle before I leave tomorrow y/n."
It hurt when he said he had to leave because these trips always lasted weeks. "Sure thing Kazu." He climbed into the bed, arms open for you to snuggle into. You did exactly that.
"I love you so much Y/n, I hope you know that. No matter how far apart the world takes us, I will always love you." Kazuha said. You both stayed in eacother's arms for the rest of the evening.
Night quickly approached with Kazuha and you with full tummies, getting back into bed for the night. "Goodnight Y/n, I love you." "I love you to, goodnight." Kazuha wrapped his arms around you once more, sending you both to sleep.
☆morning :)☆
When you woke up, Kazuha was still with you to your surprise. "Goodmorning my love" he said. "I have to go in a bit, I wanted you to at least accompany me to the Alcor." "Of course I'll accompany you" you replied, sleepiness lingering in your voice.
Kazuha chuckled and got out of bed, headed to the bathroom to change in his usual attire. You got out of bed too, grabing your clothes and waiting for him to get out. And so he did, once he made his way out you went in and changed. Quickly you went out since you didnt want Kazuha to be late because of you.
"Ready love?" He asked calmly. "Yep." Sadness began to overwhelm you every step you took. Kazuha held your hand again through the harbor, all the way to the docks.
Beidou seemed distracted so Kazuha took that opportunity to give you a small goodbye kiss. When he parted both of your lips, you hugged him. He hugged back of course, whispering in your ear, "I'll be back all right, just like always I promise you that. I love you." "I love you to Kazuha." And just like that, he walked on board, greeting Beidou.
Beidou looked at you and smirked, "I hope you stay safe out there Kazuha's little partner!" She called out. You chuckled nervously, Kazuha just looked at the floor, hiding his cheeks dusted with pink. A simple thank you is what you said back, and that she takes care of herself to.
"Men! It's time to set sail!" She called out. Kazuha and the others had gone to work, ship getting ready to go. You stood and watched as the ship parted. You were upset that Kazuha had yet again gone away but he had to do what he had to do. You didn't want to burden him. Kazuha gave a small wave to you once the ship was sailing away.
You watched the ship leave until it was a small speck in the distance. Then you trudged back home to wait for him once more.
♤Kazuha pov♤
The gentle breeze here feels nice. One that can blow away your worries. But the smell of a storm cant be blown away easily. It seems like a storm is approaching, and it seems sort of strong, Captain Beidou can handle it like all the other times I bet.
I jumped down carefully and informed captain Beidou about this storm. She nodded and said. "Alright Kazuha, I'm sure we'll survive with your help like usual, dont worry."
Oh how Beidou was wrong
No matter how much the storm was fought, it kept getting stronger. Too strong for even Beidou. Too strong for Beidou and everyone else's help.
Yelling and crying is what mostly was heard. Some gave up, prepared to die. And I myself am prepared aswell. I dont plan on dying with my promise to Y/n unfulfilled but its getting close. Im growing more tired every minute and in those minutes I thought of Y/n and our future, and past. They were the nicest thing that could have happened to me after being an escapee and my friend's death.
The alcor began to sink into the sea monster's control, filling up with water and submerging.
I to have now given up, I suppose not all storms can be strayed away.
I let out a small sentence, hoping that the archons would somehow bring it to Y/n.
"I'm sorry I couldn't fulfill my promise to come back, I'm sorry I wouldn't be able to comfort you once more and im sorry I couldn't tell you I love you one more time."
The Alcor sunk into the depths of the ocean, taking everyone in it.
...
A few weeks later when the Alcor was supposed to come back you excitedly got up and dressed. Rushed out the door only to begin over hearing people's whispers.
"Did you know the Alcor sank on its next stop?"
"Beidou couldn't defeat the monster this time?"
"Beidou and the others seem sort of weak when you put it that way."
You were confused as to why they were talking like that. But you made your way to the docks anyways. People stared at you and whispered things to their companions. You stood there watching the sea, waiting for Kazuha. Which was strange because the Alcor was supposed to be docking by now. Maybe they were just late this time.
"Poor them, do they not know the Alcor and everyone on it died?"
"Why are they waiting for nothing."
You heard others say. Yet you waited hours and no Kazuha, no Alcor.
Night approached and you sat there, the acceptance washing over you that Kazuha was gone.
