This isn't a relationship one just the friend group and the reader is a part of it :D

Also there is Xingyun at the end and in the chapter because I love them and I have brainrot.

The sun shone brightly in the Harbor, y/n was headed towards Wanmin Restaurant where their friends awaited. The restaurant could now be seen in the distance, it appeared that Chongyun, Xingqiu and Xiangling were listening to Hu Tao rambling, how cute. Y/n sped up and announced they were there. "HI GUYSSS" "OH MY GOD Y/N !!!!" Hu Tao yelled and tackled them into a hug. "Hello Y/n." Xingqiu smiled. Yet they couldn't respond as Hu Tao was practically squeezing them to death. (🤭) Chongyun waved sweetly. Xiangling would've gave them a hug too if Hu Tao didn't beat her to it.

"Hu Tao I think that's enough aha..." Chongyun said awkwardly. "But our bestie is here and I missed theeeeeeemmmmm" Hu Tao complained. Chongyun crossed his arms and sighed. Xingqiu stepped in, "Hu Tao if you don't stop I will lecture you about how important it is to find a good book and not a picture book." Hu Tao stared at Xingqiu "WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I READ CHILDREN'S PICTURE BOOKS HUH?" Hu Tao let go of y/n and huffed at Xingqiu.

Xiangling tried holding back Hu Tao from completely tackling Xingqiu. Xingqiu laughed his ass off while Chongyun placed a hand on his shoulder in a failed attempt to calm him down. Y/n chuckled, taking their kamera taking a selfie with the others in the background fighting. Chongyun was probably the only one who noticed y/n taking the photo.

"If you two don't stop it then have a poem battle and the loser eats a jueyun chili pepper" Xiangling announced. "Deal" Xingqiu and Hu Tao said in sync.

Y/n helped Xiangling prepare the peppers, washing and cutting them. Xingqiu and Hu Tao were writing their poems, Chongyun sitting next to Xingqiu and watching him. Y/n looked smugly at Chongyun and cleared their throat. "CHONGYUN'S GOT A CRUSHHHHHHH" You said quite loudly at that. Chongyun sat up straight in his chair face bright red, almost like the peppers y/n held in their hands. Xingqiu chuckled and looked at Chongyun. "You tell me who it is later Yun." Xingqiu smiled and went back to writing. "NONONO TELL US NOW POPSICLE BOY" Hu Tao screamed. Chongyun buried his face in his hands in embarrassment. Xiangling looked curious but didn't push.

For the next few minutes Hu Tao was screaming for Chongyun to tell her while writing. Gods who knew how she could work while screaming like that. "Hu Tao I love you and all but please shush and write because the peppers are ready for the battle." "I'm done." She said. "Hurry up Xingqiu." "Let me write this last word uuuhhh okay. Done."

Xiangling and y/n put the plate of peppers in the middle of the table the five sat at. Xingqiu and Hu Tao were across from eachother, Chongyun next to Xingqiu, y/n next to Hu Tao and Xiangling next to them. "Rock paper scissors for who goes first." Xiangling said.
Xingqiu and Hu Tao both held their hands out, "rock paper scissors shoot-" Xingqiu had paper, Hu Tao had rock. "I swear you always win this game Xingqiu." She complained. "Maybe try something else other than paper all the time."

Xingqiu picked up his paper, reading aloud his poem.

"That was so heart warming" Hu Tao wiped away a fake tear dramatically. "I know it was because it was written by me" Xingqiu said proudly. "Okay anyways my turn."

Hu Tao smiled proudly "so how was that ??"

"Amazing" y/n said. Xiangling clapped. "Wonderful !"

"Bro not fair I didn't get claps for my poem." Chongyun clapped. "Thanks Yun":(

"I liked both poems so both of you eat the peppers." Xiangling said. "But we gotta vote toooooooo" y/n said. Chongyun nodded.

[Votes were readyyyy]

"Aaand Hu Tao eat your peppers." Xiangling said. "WHAT FINE OKAY ONLY IF XINGQIU EATS ONE TOO." She screamed. "Why." "Because I said so book worm."

Xingqiu took a pepper but instead of him eating it he quickly fed it to Chongyun. Chongyun's face heated and mouth burned, he ran to the sink and spit it out, running cold water on his tounge. Xingqiu chuckled mischievously. Xiangling stared wide eyed. Y/n giggled at the face Chongyun made. Hu Tao laughed now taking her own pepper.

Hu Tao quickly ate it and walked up to the sink. "CHONGYUN PLEASE I NEED WATER THIS BURNS SO BAD." Chongyun moved and sat down next to Xingqiu again, eating one of his popsicles. Xingqui patted Chongyun's back "Sorry Yun yunnn" Chongyun blushed at the sudden touch and nodded in acceptance of the apology.

[After everyone was settled down a bit]

"I hate to go but I have some work to do at the funeral parlor." Hu Tao waved and walked away. Everyone waved back and said goodbye. "Well since she left I might aswell go ingredient hunting, I don't wanna do much without her with us." Xiangling said. The 3 remaining said goodbye. "Sorry then y/n, I'm gonna go take Chongyun to read with me." "Bye bye y/n" Chongyun said and waved sweetly. The pair walked off.

"Welp time to find Xiao to bother him." Y/n walked off in the direction of Wangshu Inn.

[Xingqiu and Chongyun]

"So are you gonna tell me who you like Yun?" Xingqiu asked. Chongyun's face heated a bit "I guess I might, no need to hide it after a few years of our friendship." Chongyun shuffled uncomfortably and looked away from Xingqiu. "Whenever you're ready yun."

"I like you, Xingqiu."
Xingqiu's face heated in response "I like you too dummy."
