Thursday.

Since Monday, I have only seen Matthew once and that was in class. It's okay though. I am sure that we will spend a lot of time together next week, when Ashlyn isn't here.

After class today, I walk to Matthew's desk. He looks up and says, "Hey. What are you doing tomorrow night?" He pushes his chair back and pats his leg, motioning for me to sit.

"I'm working tomorrow morning and through lunch. I will be off of work tomorrow night. Why?" I make sure the room is clear before I take a seat on his lap.

He wraps his arm around my hip and nods his head, "I was just wondering if you would want to meet up?"

The one night that I actually made plans with Ashlyn... what was he doing the other nights that he couldn't hang out?

I place my hand on the back of his neck, playing with the ends of his hair. "Well I would love to. However, I promised Ashlyn that we would go to a movie and then go bowling."

"Aw come on. Don't you want to spend time with me?" He whines.

I roll my eyes, "Of course I do. I just hate to cancel on her. We haven't spent much time together in the past month since you and I started meeting up."

He stays quiet for a moment. His hand grabs mine, the one not playing with his hair. Matthew's lips lightly touch the back of my hand. His fingers trail up my side, making their way up to my neck. He plants his lips on the side of my neck, kissing up to my jaw and ear. He whispers, "Please, baby. Come spend some time with me. I want to try something new with you."

Tingles travel up my spine. I feel his hot breath against my neck. He attaches his lips to the spot right underneath my ear, leaving love bites.

"Okay, fine. But if it comes down to it... this was your fault. You're too good at convincing me into things." I whisper, focusing on the way his lips dance along my neck.

He laughs against my skin, "Deal. All blame is on me."

I smile, grab his face, and attach his lips to mine. I let go, "Just one question, though. Why can't we hang out tonight?"

"Well, I have tests to grade. We took a test on Tuesday, remember?" He says.

"Oh! I totally forgot about that. So, since I am who I am, do I get a little extra credit?" I smirk at him.

He smirks back, knowing I'm only joking. "Depends on your behavior. You promise to be good?"

"I will certainly try." I laugh and kiss him again.

I hop off of Matthew's lap. He stands up, towering over me as usual. He wraps me in his arms, hugging me tight. "I better get back to work on all of this grading. I will see you tomorrow, okay?"

"Alright, tomorrow. Bye, Matthew." I give him one last peck, and walk towards the door.

Once I step outside, the hot sun beats down on my skin. The breeze catches my hair and whips it back in my face. I hear my phone start to ring.

With a mouthful of my own hair, I answer the phone, "Hello?"

"Hey sweetheart! It's Nana!" Just the voice I needed to hear.

I say, "Nana! Hey! I have been meaning to call you. I have been so busy with work and school. How are you? And how is Pops?"

She giggles, "We are both good. We miss you a lot. Things around here just aren't the same when you're gone, my dear."

I miss them so much. Sometimes, I wish I would've stayed at home instead of going to college. Only so that I can spend as much time with them as possible.
