6. The Demon Ninja's Village

(Kagome's Pov)

Night came upon us fast and so did the new moon itself. Inuyasha was now all human tonight but on the bright side we got another shard from a demon named Shiro. Who knew there were demons who took human skin and used as their own? Thank goodness we got there in time or Maya and that human boy would of been skinned dinner! I swear it's just pure luck when we find Maya around it's either her saving us or were saving her. Maya had been unconscious when Inuyasha caught her. Now she sat near the fire glazing in and out. She's been doing that ever since we told her that we killed Shiro.

"Maya don't worry about the boy, he's safe in the village because of you" I said to her.

Her head snapped up at me as I told her the news. Her glowing blue eyes remained on my face for a few minutes until they stared back into the fire. I stared from Maya to Inuyasha, both of them lost in their thoughts. I figured that it was best to leave them alone. I went over to my backpack and pulled out a black book with gold designs craved in the front of it. My mom had bought this book for me so I could write my thoughts in it. So basically it's a journal. I haven't bother to write in it yet. I guess now is good time than never.

Entry one

Dear, Journal

Another successful day in the feudal era we mange to take down a skin demon and obtain a jewel shard in the process. We saved a ninja demon(Maya) and a human boy has well. I feel like things are starting to look up for us and I'm hoping Maya joins us on are journey!

I notice that my journal entry was super short I mean what could I do when I felt some one staring at me. I lifted my head only to meet Inuyasha human eyes at me.

"What are you writing in that book of yours" Inuyasha asked.

"Nothing that concerns you" I said looking away from him.

For the rest of night it was peaceful, no demons to deal with just a quiet night. I heard birds chirping; I felt the sun's rays beating down on my face as I open my eyes. I stretched my arms in the air as I got up, I saw that Maya wasn't there neither was Inuyasha. No one else had been awake so I decide to go look for them. I didn't know where I was going so I just kept walking, I heard Inuyasha's voice and began following it. I pushed through a bunch of bushes and saw Inuyasha talking to Maya. I quickly dropped to the ground before they seen me.

"Inuyasha, I thank you again for saving me but like I said before I cannot stay with you and your group"

"Why not"?

"I have enough death on my hands and I don't need your deaths on my hands as well"

"Maya, would you listen to yourself you sound like a foolish human"

I kept listening to both of them rambling on about how Maya couldn't stay and how Inuyasha was trying to win her over too stay. But, she is so stubborn she won't give into joining us. I started to get bored listening to them argue, as I was about to get up I felt something crawl up my arm. I looked down and saw a big huge bug crawling up my arm. I screamed and got up running through the bushes towards Inuyasha and Maya. Both of them stood on their guard waiting for a demon to come out of the bushes.

"Eww get it off me" I yelled at them.

Both of them looked at me confused as I ran around in circles screaming at the bug.

"Kagome stop running around in circles your making me sick" Inuyasha complained to me.

"I can't stop running around until this bug decides to get off my arm"!
