"Inuyasha my legs are tired from riding my bike can we just call it a day" Kagome cried

"I suppose we don't have a choice since you're already crying about it" Inuyasha replied in disgust.

"I wasn't crying about it" Kagome added rolling her eyes

"Whatever". Inuyasha snarled at Kagome.

Kagome and Inuyasha began to argue with each other as Sango, Miroku, Shippo, and Kirara watched them.

"Sit, sit, sit, sit, sit, sit boy! Kagome shouted

"Why the heck did you do that Kagome" Inuyasha yelled at her.

The others then just looked at Inuyasha in disbelief.

"You think by now he learned not to talk to her that way" Shippo mutter to the others.

"What did you just say you little runt" Inuyasha snapped at Shippo

"Nothing Inuyasha" Shippo yelped knowing that Inuyasha could strike him at any moment.

Inuyasha was just staring away into the distance like he always does when he was thinking about Kikyo. His first love that, he will always care about. Even after everything they've been through he still manages to love her that way. Love never dies even after the women you love dies and resurrected again. Inuyasha caught Shippo staring at him.

Inuyasha snapped at him and repeatedly struck Shippo in the head.

"Sit boy" Kagome Yelled

"Kagome" Inuyasha said furiously

As they got closer to Kaede's village Inuyasha couldn't help but to think of Kikyo. Where was she? Was she alright? Those were all the questions running through his mind. Inuyasha and the gang arrived at Kaede's village only to be welcomed back by Kaede herself.

"What are ye children doing here"?

"Oh were just here to rest up a bit" Kagome smiled as she responded.

Kaede nodded her head and walked towards her hut. Kagome and the others followed her leaving Inuyasha behind to concentrate really hard on these thoughts about Kikyo.

(Inuyasha's POV)

How could Kikyo think I would betrayal her when I loved her? Damn Naraku you will pay for what you did to Kikyo.

As Inuyasha continue to concentrate on his thoughts Kagome notices that Inuyasha wasn't with them. She began walking back towards where they were. She saw Inuyasha staring into space once again.

(Kagome's POV)

Inuyasha only stared into space like that when he was thinking of Kikyo. After all, they have been through and he still loves her. How could I ever compare to her? That's right I can't. As I turned back to Kaede's village Inuyasha appeared right in front of me.

"Inuyasha I didn't realize you were behind me. How long have you been there? "

"Not long..."

"Well we better go back to the village before everybody starts wondering where we are"

"Yeah whatever let's go".

Inuyasha turned back around not saying another word to Kagome and walked towards the village. At night fall Inuyasha and the gang surround the fire, as they watched the flames flicker in and out Kaede poked at the fire with a stick.

Although they weren't tired, they were all bored at looking at the fire.

"Kaede will you tell us a story Shippo asked"

"Ye child I will tell ye oldest story I know"

Kaede stopped poking at the fire and began to think of a story to tell them.

"Come on you old hag we don't have all night' Inuyasha demanded

"Ye hanyo patience is what ye need" Kaede explained to him

Inuyasha rolled his eyes.

"Let me tell ye story now"

Long ago there lived these demons; they called themselves the warriors of the night or shinobi's. In other words, they were known as Demon ninjas. They were not anything like regular demons they didn't attack humans unless they were a threat to them. Shinobi's protected the humans with their own life at times. The leader of the demon ninjas was a great demon ninja himself his name was Einar. He fell in love with a woman that was a hanyo her name was Sora. They married and had a child but Sora died after giving birth to the child. However, no one found out if the child was a girl or boy. Well expect one person.

"Who is the person who found out if it was a boy or girl" Kagome asked

"My sister knew Sora really well and was ye one who helped her gave birth to the child" Kaede answered picking up the stick and poking the fire once more.

"So I wasn't the only DEMON Kikyo knew?"

"I'm afraid not Inuyasha" Kaede said.

"Well are the demon ninjas still alive" Miroku asked

"I don't know" Kaede answered

"No one knows, not even the demon slayers" Sango added.

Everyone went to sleep that night with dreams about the warriors of the night. Where were they now when the humans needed them the most? Were they all dead? Did other demons kill them off?
