7. The betrayal (Yumi)

-(Flashback)four weeks earlier-

I hated the fact each time Einar called upon my husband he would run to his feet. The man might of been chief of the village and the demon ninjas but it doesn't mean every time he needs to call upon my husband. He can have that precious daughter of his do his duties. This village is just to perfect for me to stay in any longer...

I watched each and everyone of these woman throw themselves at Einar, and for what you may ask? Nothing he doesn't like women like me or them. We will never be as perfect as his wife; that dimwit half demon! She wasn't even as perfect as I am and yet somehow she was granted by the gods to bear a child! I mean I can't even bear a child with my husband...The child would only die and I cannot bear that on my shoulders!

"Hello Yumi" a voice spoke breaking me away from my thoughts.

I turned my head and caught a glimpse of Maya. Her eyes planted on my face waiting for me to answer her back.

"Hello Maya, how are you on this fine evening"

"I'm fine just waiting for father and Takeo to get back"

I couldn't help but to be annoyed by her. I hated Maya for being Sora's daughter and I hate her because she looked so much like her mother; but most of all I hate because of how beautiful she is. Just thinking about her makes me angrier. How could the gods grant Sora with a beautiful daughter but not me? What have I'd done to not deserve a child?

I had to do something to get out of this village! A high pitch squeak broke from behind me making me slightly jump. That stupid girl went running over to the opening of the sacred rock. There stood my husband and the handsome chief himself. I walked over to Takeo and planted a kiss right on his cheek. He smiled at me, he might not of been Einar but he still was my husband.

"Dear you have returned to me yet again you remain the same condition as you left".

"Of course he remains the same, my father always looks after all the men" the stupid girl said with a grin.

-Few days later-

I find myself bored everyday waiting for something new to come my way and now it finally has happened! I waited for the sacred rock to open as I poured a small portion of my husband's blood into the hole. I found myself exploring instead of looking for herbs and other supplies. I am just so sick of being order around by the other women in charge; I should of been in charge instead.

I walked further and further off the path I was suppose to be on. Looking around at my surroundings I see nothing but trees in my way. I notice a small little girl on the ground with her knees against her face. I stepped towards her without making noise but somehow she heard me. Her head snapped up and now she was staring at me with no emotion in her eyes. They were just black soulless eyes staring at me. The girl stood up and began picking up a mirror by her as well.

The mirror caught my reflection and now I stood there with no control of my body. A man came out of trees laughing at me. I couldn't see his face it was cover along with his whole body; he was covered in a baboon skin.

"You foolish human, you fell into my trap just has planned" he spoke to me.

All I could do was look at him and the girl who was holding me with some magic mirror.

"Kanna let her go but if she runs suck her soul out of her body" he demanded.

I wanted to run so bad but how could I when he order the girl to suck my soul out if I did? I felt my heart beating fast with fear.

"W-what's your name" I asked him

"I go by Naraku, and your is Yumi"

"How do you know my name"?

"I know everything about you"

"But, how"

"Enough chattering let's make a deal in exchange for your freedom"

"What kind of deal if I may ask"

"The deal is if you get me into that village of yours I will get you anything you desire" he explained with a smile.

"The only way you can enter my village is if you have demon blood"

"Precisely, that's where you come in" he said disappearing up into the trees.

My heart was still pounding as he left, leaving me in nothing but a clearing in the woods. What was I gonna do? I couldn't just betray my village or could I?
