8. The suffering (Takeo)

-(Flashback)Two weeks after Yumi's encounter with Naraku-

I can no longer deal with Yumi's complaints about how much she hates it here. Long ago, Yumi used to love this village and everybody in it. But, lately she's been distant to me and other women around here. I no longer can handle being ignored by my so "called wife".

I followed Yumi's scent all the way out of the village and into a clearing by the outskirts of the mountain. I've been doing this for a whole week now and I came to this spot each time. Nothing came up not even my wife. I don't know how my demon nose deceive me...

The next day I decide to hide in same spot where I lost Yumi's scent. I didn't really know how long I waited but she never came. I ran back to the village that evening and found Yumi dinning with the other women tonight. Was I just being over protective of her or is she just doing this for show? I watched my wife from a distance as she helped the other women clean up.

I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned my head to see who it was. Standing in front of me was no other than chief Einar. He is the greatest man who ever lived at least that's what I thought. Me being his general and all, I got to command the other demon ninjas with honor of course. Soon I would be chief and then Yumi will finally be happy for once. She would have all the riches in the world. It's the least I could do after she discovered that she wouldn't be able to bear my children.

Yumi knew the risk when she married me...She knew that no female would ever be able to bear a child with an demon ninja. I wish I could give her that choice to have children but I can't. I snapped out of my thoughts and turned my attention back Einar.

"Einar, how can I make a women happy when she doesn't want to be happy"?

"That there, is question I've been trying to find out myself"

Einar and I exchanged laughs for the rest of the night. Earlier that morning I'd seen Yumi making her way out of the village. My first instant had been to follow her and I ended up tailing her all the way down the mountain. She kept going deeper and deeper into the woods until she came to a stop. I climbed up a tree and watched Yumi stand in a clearing as she waited for someone or something to come.

I forced my demonic aura around me to disappear so I wouldn't be detected. Moments later, a figure appeared in front of Yumi. She didn't run or even shout for help she knew the demon somehow.. I leaped to another tree to get a closer look at them. I saw them exchange something but I couldn't make out what it was. If I got closer I would be seen.

The branch underneath me gave out and snapped before I could move away from it. I hit the ground pretty hard...Yumi and the mysterious demon looked in my direction. I couldn't move, they both started heading my way. What was I gonna do? How could I escape now?

"Takeo, dear what are you doing here" she asked with hint of sarcasm in her voice.

"I came to see why you been acting so strange and now I see why, who is this man" I asked suppressing my anger within me.

I could not see his face behind the disguise he wore.

" I have many names people call me but I go by one and it is Naraku" he chuckled at me.

I have heard his name before but where have I heard it? Questions swirl around in my head has I try to find the answers. Was he the one who killed lady Kikyo?

Before I could answer back I felt a jab to my stomach as I looked down I saw a red blade go in and come back out. I have seen this blade before in stories I thought. It's the blade of "tamashi" but how did he get it? Everything was getting dark the blade pierced my body once again this time it was draining my life force away. I moved quickly away from Naraku but it was to late everything went completely dark. I could hear Yumi screaming my name; my life was slipping all because of that damn sword!

A/N: That was pretty intense poor Takeo :(. Could he still be alive or is he really dead? Dang now Naraku got some of the shikon jewel and some type of sword; what's up with that?? Anyways, I'm going on vacation for about a week to New York City xD or longer but sadly I won't be able to update! Don't don't worry I'll try to (: -P.M
