The boys heart leaped out of his chest as he was abruptly summoned back to the court room. Every bone in his body felt like it was on fire as he stared at his older brother in anger and fear. The boy felt like he was going to be sick any moment, as every pair of eyes in the room was now trained on him.
His mind subconsciously went back to the broken girl that he so desperately was clinging onto. How her unconscious body dropped from his arms as he was summoned away. His heart clenched at the thought of her body hitting the hard ground. He harshly shut his eyes as his breath hitched, trying to shove the disturbing image out of his head. The boy refused to believe the worst.
He was crumpled down in the middle of the room, tears welling in his eyes. His breathing was uneven and his clenched fists were starting to turn white. Murmuring began to break out around the room about the certain young boy that was sprawled out in the middle of the court room. But it didn't last long as the blue haired boy delicately stood up at his seat in the front of the room.
"Jeno. Stand." The high angels voice was firm and commanding as he stared at the young boy sat on the floor below him. "Yes, brother." The boy slowly stood, his legs shaking beneath him at the sudden weight. He slowly looked up at the male before him, offering him a thin lipped smile.
"The rest of you are excused. Please get back to your duties." The blue haired angel motioned for the court of high angels to leave as he kept his gaze on his brother. The room was filled with a eerie silence as the two brothers were now the only ones in the room.
The eldest let out a long sigh as he slumped back into his throne. He rubbed his eyes with the palm of his hands before speaking again. "Jeno. Please obey what I say. I cant keep getting you out of trouble like this. Promise me that you'll behave. Please.." The desperation was evident in his voice as he stared at his younger brother with pleading eyes. The young boy looked up at his brother once more, running a hand through his brown hair. "I'm sorry Taeyong, but I don't think I can make that promise. Not after what happened."
With one final glance at the boy on the throne, Jeno left the room, slamming the door on his way out. Taeyong stared at the door with a heavy heart, "I'm afraid that next time I won't be able to save you." Tears welled in the older boys eyes as he whispered his next sentence, "I can't lose you too.."
