Chapter Eight

It felt like he melted into my lips. I wanted time to stop for eternity. His lips were molded to mine, like this was meant to happen. He grabs my cheek and goes in for another with a slip of tongue, I slightly jerk my head from surprise. I've never kissed someone let alone with tongue. He opened his eyes in a way that made it look like I didn't trust him. As he looks away embarrassed from vulnerability I catch his attention and look him up and down with a smile that can only show that I wanted more, but as soon as I did Gon poked his head out of the window to let us know that he had finished setting up the sleeping situation. I look back to Killua who has already gotten up and headed back inside, I follow. Getting inside Gon insists that I sleep in his bed while him and Killua sleep on the futons. I quickly agree because I'm not too fond of sleeping on the floor.

We get ready for bed, brush our teeth and I'm about to step into bed when they both look at me in a mellow concerned way. Gon asks me if I was going to sleep in what I was wearing, I look down and realize I'm wearing baggy jeans and a buttoned shirt flowing above my belly. I stutter because I don't have any extra clothes to change into. Killua takes off his white tee that was originally layered with his blue turtle neck long sleeve. Gon then handed me grey sweatpants he had in his drawer. He told me I could change in his bathroom and when I got out he could take my dirty clothes to Mito-san to wash them. Gon left the room to get himself his sleep shorts from the laundry room downstairs. When he left the room I gathered all the clothes both of them had spared me. Killua turned to me and caught my attention.

"Hey can we just forget what happened earlier, I don't want it to be weird between us."

-"Oh, yeah for sure. Don't worry about it."

I rush out of the room to go change in the bathroom. My eyes are dripping without my consent while passing Gon. I change and sit in the bathroom till I calm down. 'Is he serious?! Have all the feelings between us been fake?' It seems as quite a bit of a time has passed so I open the door, sneak back into Gon's room and rush into bed. Trying to fall asleep peacefully I'm as restless as a bat in the evening. I can't help but cradle myself to sleep, 'I hope that they can't hear me.' Wiping my tears with Killua's shirt I start to smell him. His natural scent is so comforting but I start to cry even more. As I try to drift off to sleep all I can think about is what's going to happen now.

A few hours passed and I'm still laying in bed restless. I toss and turn over to face everything in the dark room. My eyes have adjusted to the dark so I can see everything in the room perfectly fine. Gon was breathing heavy enough to where I could hear him and Killua was sleeping like an angel. 'How could he think that it would be awkward between us?' 'What did I do wrong?' I stare at his limp body wishing I were next to him and that he wished I were too. 'Was I wrong for falling for him? Maybe he really never liked me in the first place.' I stare at the ceiling accepting that I won't be getting sleep tonight. I decide to get up and out of bed.

 The stars shine so bright that it feels like the sun is shining but it's only 2:30 in the morning. Grabbing the extra blanket from the bed and my shoes from the front of the house, I step outside. It has a slight chilly breeze making the weather irresistible. I walk down the path from Gon's house to the shore of a tiny beach. I set down the blanket and sit on top of it, as I start to lay down I wish that I were in Killua's arms. As seconds go by a shooting star then passes through the sky making some feeling of hope shoot through my body. Just then, I hear footsteps coming from behind me.
