Chapter Twenty Four

We trot over to the known cafe near Heavens arena to grab breakfast and wake up our mind some more after the past long days of training. We sit in a booth where two menus are placed in front of us on the table. The waitress sits us down and mentions she will be back to get our order.

Y/N: "What are you thinking about getting? I want to try something new but I want to make sure I like it."

Gon: "I really like the sunny side up eggs with the side of bacon and orange juice! I had it a lot when I was training in Heaven's Arena, it's a good source of protein if you ask me."

Y/N: "Sounds like something you'd like. Anyway, I think i'll get it though."

Gon: "I want to try something new too, maybe the sandwiches."

Y/N: "Ooo! Let me try it if you end up getting that."

The waitress walks back over to our table and asks if we're ready to order our drinks. We agree and order our meals at the same time. An hour or so later we finish up and slowly head in the direction of the dojo. On the way I look down a street heading the other way, it appeared to have shopping stores and gift shops. I point it out to Gon and propose to look around, he agrees but follows with a "Let's not take too long though. "

We follow the brick path up and down the street popping in and out of small stores. We head inside a boba tea shop, both Gon and I order a drink. We head back out and towards a bigger clothing store, I rush in and ask to shop in there. Gon nodded his head as if he was being forced to say yes.

He follows me in and starts to look at clothes along with me. After a couple minutes I look around to find him, to see what he's looking at. Looking over he sorts through green shorts.

Y/N: "More green shorts?"

Gon: "What else would I get?"

Y/N: "Maybe at least green pants or something different from your everyday outfit."

Gon: "Good point, but I don't see anything I like in here."

Y/N: "Not even these? I think these would look pretty good on you." I say holding up sage green sweatpants.

Gon: "Those aren't too bad. They're not the color green I would normally get."

Y/N: "Exactly. You need to switch things up once in a while."

Gon: "Alright. Alright. I'll try them on, only because you're being so pushy towards it." We smile at each other.

Y/N: "Good, and try these on while you're at it." I toss him a white zip up hoodie.

After about 10 minutes passing he walks out with a satisfied look on his face.

Gon: "I actually ended up liking both of them. I think I'll get them."

Y/N: "Good to hear! I told you they would."

Gon: "Damn it. I think I left my Hunter's License back at Wing's."

Y/N: "Hey no problem, my treat. I was the one who told you to try them on anyway."

Gon: "You sure?"

Y/N: "Positive."

We cash out and head out of the store. My face as happy as ever knowing the fact that Gon and I have gotten so close. We barely ever fight and always have fun, he's like my long lost brother. Wing is going to be furious knowing we spent the day shopping instead of training, I didn't care. I was so happy Gon and I could smile for the first time since he disappeared. He'd be back soon, I could feel it in my bones.
