So I read a bit about this guy.

He and this other boy named Phil Lester live together and they're best friends. It's going to be hard keeping myself anonymous from Phil. Only Dan can really know I exist.

Savannah explained that if he told the public or his friends about me, my cover would be blown and people would become suspicious. It didn't really make a lot of sense to me but I might as well listen to Andrew Hunter and Savannah Wilkie. They have been agents for pretty much their entire life.

I sighed and sat back in my computer chair. Mr. Hunter brought me a folder filled with things I need to know about Dan and then my fake identity. My name was going to be Jaden June Alex but I went by JJ. I was 23 years old - which was close to my real age - and my all my family was dead except my mom.

The papers in the folder about Dan told me his address and phone number and then other various things that I already knew via the internet. There was a knock on the door and I was about to get up when I remembered the scene Andrew caused before. "Who is it?" I called out and walked over to the door. "It's Savannah. I have to give you something." Wilkie's voice was slightly muffled from the door. "Hunter wanted me to tell you that your mission starts today."

I opened the door and she was standing there with an ear piece. She handed it to me. I took it and put it in my right ear. "Now I can speak to you when you're out on the field." She smiled and I nodded.

"Alright then, when do I start?" I asked. She just smiled.

"Soon. So prepare."

"Okay okay okay, he's coming." Savannah almost yelled into my ear piece, slightly excited to finally get this mission officially started.

She was able to hack into the security cameras around the town. Which I thought was amazing. I could barely download anything from pictures to applications.

I got out my phone and pretended to play games on it. Then I stepped out of the crowd and started walking. After a few moments of awkwardly pretended to do something, we bumped into each other. He wasn't with Phil today so that was a plus. He stared at me with shock and another emotion (maybe fear?) for a second before shaking his head.

"I-I'm really sorry." He stuttered.

Okay. So he's awkward. We have something in common already.

"Oh no it's fine." Then I gave him a fake nervous laugh as I noticed the spilled drink in his hands. "Oh my god- I'm so sorry! Can I buy you something else?"

Dan just grinned. "No, it's alright. It was almost empty anyway." He stopped and looked me straight in the eyes. "I've seen you before, haven't I?" Dan asked and raised an eyebrow. I felt my stomach drop.

"Oh uh, Ashley..." Savannah said nervously into my earpiece. She had a microphone hidden on my jacket so she could hear everything we spoke about.

"No. I don't think that's possible, we've only just met." I licked my lips, desperate to get out of this. Then I had an idea; I could use him recognizing me to my advantage. "But maybe if we hang out some more you'll figure it out." Then I smiled and did a nervous laugh again, but this one was real.

"Yeah, that'll be great, thanks." Dan nodded and smiled. We exchanged numbers and I told him I'd text him later and he said the same. Of course, I had a fake phone. As soon as this mission was over, we would destroy it and delete any records of it.

Right before he walked off, he stared at be with a completely shocked expression. If seemed as if his entire world paused for a moment. Then he shook it off, thanked me, and left.
