I woke up in my bedroom at our manor around 6am. I quickly got ready to attend my classes. I am so exhausted having to sneak around trying to avoid Malfoy and Nott this whole time, after I wrote my mother the letter she sent for me right away. I returned home and she told me she was disappointed that it was no longer going to be Draco and that the Malfoys would be just as disappointed, but she respected my decision, she even suggested Theo and Blaise I soon shut the ideas down and we had to start the search to find the perfect gentleman for me.
She only wanted the best for me and she wanted me to choose. She didn't want to force an arranged marriage like some pure bloods did. As long as he was up to my standards being pure blood, wealthy and from a good family I was allowed to pick who I wanted. That's why she was so set on Malfoy, she thought I had feelings for him and he ticked all the right boxes.
I came down for breakfast at our manor taking my time since I still had 30 minutes until my first class started, the house elf prepared my favourite breakfast pancakes and berries. I was quite calming not being in the crowed hall at Hogwarts first thing in the morning. I enjoyed to be by myself at times.

"Good morning darling" my mother strolled in the dining room and took a seat at the other end of the dining table as a house elf appeared and placed a cup of tea in front of her. "Good morning" I smile back acting like the perfect lady she thought I was. "I know a lot of the young men that have visited us over the last couple of weeks haven't been to your taste" she uttered stirring her tea
"But I trust you will start to put more effort into the conversations, get to know them before you reject the offer completely" she raised her eye brow "no one's asking you to make a decision now darling that's why we have given ourself time for you to choose wisely" "Yes of corse mother they just wasn't to my taste" "Well would you be so kind to elaborate on what your taste is my dear" she asked sipping her tea
"Someone with a strong personality, strong willed, powerful, handsome, someone that will treat me as I deserve to be" My mother smiled at me "I wouldn't suggest anything less darling" she smiled "that's why I have arranged a meeting tonight, a kind of small cocktail party the most eligible gentlemen have been invited for you to get to know, I haven't told the Malfoy's or Nott's, however I did mention to Mrs Zabini but she seems to think Blaise may have feelings for someone"
"Yes Blaise and Milan have gotten quite close recently" "Oh that's wonderful, our Milan deserves all the happiness" my mother loves Milan and Nova like adopted children. It's always been the three of us and my mother has always had soft spots for my two best friends.
"You have been sent the newest collection of dresses by your favourite designers, you know they love to see you wear their pieces, so you will choose from one of them to wear tonight" she beamed at me. At least I didn't have to go shopping for a dress last minute "I'm going to be late I must get to class" "Ok darling don't be late tonight" she called out as i walked out the front door and apparated to Hogwarts grounds.
I entered my first class Astronomy a few minutes late. Heads turning towards me as I entered. I quickly apologised to the professor before I took my seat getting out my books. I sat at the back of the class with Nova and Milan while Malfoy and Nott sat together at the front. Both turning round to take a sneaky look at me every now and then. Class went pretty quickly and we chatted about my mothers plans for me tonight and what outfits I had to choose from.
I spent the last 5 minutes of class planning my escape route so the troubled two wouldn't catch up to me, As soon as class ended my bag was already packed, I sprinted out the door. There wasn't a chance anyone was getting to me.
The day went pretty quickly, the last class of the day was potions. We took our seats before Snape appeared from the back of the class. "Since nobody in this classroom seems to take this class seriously there will now be a seating arrangement" he slowly mumbled in he's strange tone of voice.
He split us up calling pairs of names to be partners. I got paired with Luka which I was happy about. I was just glad I wasn't paired with Malfoy or Nott. Although he paired them together and sat them in front of us.

Snape gave us the task of producing Amortentia.
Great.
"Can any one tell me what this potion does" obviously the frizzy hair girl raised her hand and explained that it was a love potion, it smelt of the person you was attracted to, if consumed, it gave the person a obsession with the first person they see first after taking it. "The pair that completes the task correctly and first, wins a vital of Veritaserum" Snape mumbles again. Veritaserum was truth serum something that I suspect every one wanted to win for their own reasons.
Since I shared the top of the class status with Malfoy it was either going to be me or Malfoy that was taking the vital. I made Luka step aside as I took charge of the potion making which he was happy to oblige. Theo and Draco kept turning round to sneak at our progress, Luka caught on to this "There's no way your going to beat us Gigi has this" he said cockily "We're close" Malfoy said still having he's back to us while concentrating. This son of a bitch was not going to beat me.
Just one more dose of that- stir three more times and-
"DONE" Me and Malfoy's voice called at the same time. They both turned round, we all looked at each other in confusion. "Really, at the same fucking time" Luka moaned chucking he's head back There was a loud sigh from the rest of the students as they gave up knowing they had already lost. Snape waltzed over to the four of us. "We must check the potion is correct" Snape explained. "Gigi you first" Fuck I leaned in to the cauldron closed my eyes as I took a deep breathe through my nose smelling the liquid.
