There stood the brat from yesterday, eating the cakes on the tray he was holding. Ciel left out the part about this kid in her letters.
He looked at me, with a blank face. And, although I am taller than him, it was almost like he was looking down on me.
''Well, I didn't know you were a servant here. What a surprise.'' I say, as he rolls his eyes.
''Well, I didn't know noble men like you would be invited to this ball. My master must have low standards.''
''Hey! Watch what you say to me or, or-''
''Or what?''
I didn't think that far. All I knew was, I was enraged and he was the cause of it.
''It doesn't matter, just know its very, very bad.'' I say, failing to act in lead of this fight.
''Is the big bad demon going to eat my soul?'' He jokes.
''Why you, I don't have time for you. I'm looking for someone.''
''And who may that be?''
''Why do you care.''
''Fine, if you don't want to tell me, don't. I could've helped you but, never mind I guess.''
''Wait, will you actually help me?''
''I don't see why not. I may hate you but, if I don't act like I'm doing something, I'll have to clean after the party with Meyrin.''
''I'm looking for a servant, by the name of Ciel Phantomhive. She has navy hair and is really short. I don't know exactly how she looks like though. She must work with you.''
Once I was done speaking, he looked surprised. Was he surprised I knew her?
''May I ask who is requesting her?''He asked, shakily.
''Oh! My name is Sebastian Michaelis.''
Then, when I spoke my name, his face turned whiter than usual.
''Oh no.'' Is all he said, before dragging me outside.
Once he dragged me into the middle of the garden, I decided to finally say something.
''What are you doing? I thought you said you'd help me find Ciel.''
''We have a problem.''
We?
''What do you mean?''
''Sebastian, do you think I'm a girl?''
''No, you're obviously a guy. Even though you do have feminism features.''
''Then why do you address my name with she or her?''
I'm confused. I never once addressed him as a female. What is up with him?
''I never did that.''
''I'm Ciel.''
Did he just say he is Ciel? Nonsense. He has to be pulling my leg, I mean, he does hate me.
''You're not Ciel, Ciel is a girl. Don't pull my leg.I have to find her.''
''Sebastian.'' He said, almost as if he was angry.
''Yes?''
''I'm Ciel.''
I can tell he is being serious. But, what do I do now? I thought Ciel was a girl, not some brat I picked a fight with on the street.
Now thinking about it, he resembles of how he described himself in the letters. Obviously not the personality does't match the letters. He's almost a completely different person.
How did I just assume he was female, I never thought of the possibility of him being a male. I feel utterly doltish.
Wait, did he know my true gender?
''Ciel, did you know I was male or did you also think I was female?''
'' I obviously knew you were male, I just don't believe, that in the three years of writing, you assumed I was a girl.''
He has a point. We have been writing to one another for over three years and I always assumed he was a she.
Now that I think about it, if he knew I was also male, why did he say he loved me?
''If you knew I was male, why did you say you loved me?''I ask.
''Well, I do. I'm not childish, gender doesn't matter. It may matter for upper class noble men such as yourself but, I'm just a servant. This is humiliating, I should of never written to you.'' He said, storming off.
''Wait!'' I say, running after him.
I feel as if I need to run after him, like in the romance novels I've read. Even though he is male, I still feel attracted to this boy. Even though he acted the way he has, I still feel as if I adore him. It's strange. I still desire to bring him back with me,to my manor and live with me. I still have feelings for him, even though I know he's male. It doesn't bother me. It doesn't at all.
I catch up to the fast boy and get a grip of his wrist. He tries to release himself from my grip but, not surprisingly, I'm much stronger. I pull him a little closer to be but, not too close.
''I still love you!'' I scream.
I'm almost positive the whole ball heard my outburst. But,that doesn't stop me from continuing.
''I'm sorry I didn't know you weren't a girl! I never gave it a second thought! I still love you!''
''Okay, okay. Just stop yelling.'' He says, through gritted teeth.
''That's romance,Oscar said.'' I hear Snake say, behind me.
Ciel does work with a perplexing bunch of servants. They're almost as strange as my servants. Speaking of servants, I forgot about William.
''Master, you have never mentioned you were gay.'' I hear William say, fixing his glasses.
It's as if he read my mind.
I want to talk to Ciel alone but, there seems to be more people around than I knew.
I guess Ciel felt the same way because, he takes my hand and leads me into a different area in the garden. It is plenty far away from anyone. I can now ask him about the moving arrangements.
''Ciel, I want you to move in with me. In my manor.''
''When?''
''Tonight.''
''Tonight?!"
''Yes.''
''I can't do that. I need to pack and so on. The only reason I'm still okay with moving in with you is because I know alot about you, you seem fairly harmless. But, tonight is too much of a short notice.''
''Why don't you stay the night?!'' I hear Madam Red say, wrapping her arm around my shoulders.
''Really?'' Ciel and I both ask.
''Why not? Then, you two can start packing early tomorrow morning. I know your parents very well, I don't see you as any sort of threat.''
''Thank you, I appreciate it dearly.''
Today I met Ciel and even though not everything went as planned,I don't regret anything.
