''Young Master, it is time to awake.'' I hear my butler, Agni, say.
I'm honestly too tired to awake this early in the morning. I was up all night, doing father's taxes for him. Even though, that should be a butler's duty. My father insisted that I should learn, he claims it will be ever so helpful for me in the future. Of coarse he would have me do it, he called Agni last night from his ''business trip'' and told him for me to do so. My father specifically informed Agni, to not help me what so ever. Well, if anything is incorrect, the blame can not be on me.
''Young Master.'' I hear him say, again.
''I'm up, I'm up.'' I reply.
Agni walks over to where I lay and rips off the covers that was spread upon my bed.
''Since you are up, you can get ready for the day.''
The one thing I despise about Agni is, he is always trying to make me a better man, just like my father. Agni is like a second father, which isn't pleasant at all. Aren't butlers suppose to be gentle and considerate of their masters?
Even though Agni acts like my father, they are polar opposites. Well, besides the fact they both have one son. Agni has a son, my age, name Soma. Agni is a Indian man, with dark oil skin, with grey eyes, and white hair. He is a loyal and helpful butler but, I'm lucky if he shows up once a week. Agni is constantly with his son. Agni always speaks of protecting him and never wanting to leave his son's side. What I don't get is, why did he take on the job as a butler, if he never wants to show up? And, how does my father let this slide? If it was me, he would've been fired awhile ago.
''Would you like to get dressed?'' He asks me.
''I can dress myself, you are dismissed.''
''Yes.'' He says, walking out.
I look into my closet and see black. My attire is dark, black, and gloomy,as said from Elizabeth, who gave me advice to dress more ''cute''. I pick out a pair of black trousers, black button up shirt, and a black over coat. I then slide on my black, knee high socks and put on my black shoes. I walk over to the mirror and comb my hair. Once, I am done, I walk out of my room and into my office to start on father's paperwork.
As I am about to enter my office, I am met with Grell.
''You have a letter, Bessy!'' He screams.
''Thank you and next time. Please try to be more hushed.''
''Okay! Bye Sebby!'' He says, running away.
I look at the letter and see a familiar address and name. It's from Ciel.
I open my office's door and walk over to my desk. I open the letter and read the contents.
''Dear Sebastian,
I planted the most beautiful flowers yesterday, I don't know what they are called. My master handed them to me and just asked me to plant them. They smelt wonderful. And, the candy you sent was delicious! I enjoyed it, thank you! Work is going well, when ever Snake is free, he teaches me new things. He taught me new words and let me read one of the books he bought last week. I also hope to see you in the near future. I love you.
Sincerely, Ciel.''
I am overjoyed that she liked the candies I sent. I must mail her more in the next letter. I am also happy to hear that she is learning new things that may be useful to her. And, from the letters she sent, her master is very simpatico. I shall write to her, once my work is done.
I set the letter aside and get to work, forgetting about breakfast. I read through several company proposals, threat letters, and junk mail sent from the town's shops. I toss aside most of the letters, except one. It's the letter from Ciel.
I should write her back now.
''Dearest Ciel,
I am so joyed to hear all the great news you brought in the latest letter. I hope you benefit from Snake's teachings, it is always essential to learn new things. I get taught by a tutor, that my father has picked for me, he refers himself as the Undertaker. Maybe because, he takes students under his wings. What ever it may be,I find it odd. I shall send more candy to you. I hope you relish the candy I send. Well, I have work to do so, I will be waiting for your next letter. I love you.
''Sincerely, Sebastian.''
I fold the letter and find an envelope. I then, take the candy out of one of my father's draws and put it into the envelope, along with the letter. I close the envelope and write the name and address on the front.
I walk out of my study, to look for a servant who can mail my precious letter. To no surprise, Agni is no where to be fount. I look through the manor, when I finally find a servant. William.
''William, are you free at the moment?'' I ask.
''Yes, sir.'' He replies, fixing his glasses.
''Please, mail this letter out for me. Thank you.''
I hand him the letter and he immediately walks in a formal fashion, to the exiting door. Sometimes, I worry about him.
Maybe, I should contact Claude. I have not heard from him in quite a while. I walk over to the phone, placed on the kitchen wall. I dial Claude's manor's number. It rings a few times before, I hear his voice.
''Hello, Claude.''
''Hello, Sebastian. May I ask why you are calling?''
Claude is a very formal man, much like my father.
''I haven't heard from you. I wanted to simply hear how you've been doing.'' I reply.
''I have been good. My father has a woman for me, I meet her later on this evening. My father plans on us marrying, it will benefit our company very well. I do have to go now, I am suppose to be trying on an attire for today. I'll speak with you later, bye.''
''Bye.''
He is marrying, just for a company? How absurd. It angers me,marriage isn't some game of chess, you can't relate the king and queen on a chess board as you and your wife. I never took Claude as that kind of person but, he is dour person.
Either or, it should not concern me. I don'tplan on marrying Ciel for my company or anything near the situation that Claude is doing. I plan on marrying her because, I wan't to.
