It has been three years since Ciel and I have been writing letter to one another. In those letters, we got know each other more and more each letter. But, not every letter is pleasant.
Ciel has gone through a lot in the pass three years. Her parents and her manor burned down three years ago. Since, her parents were no longer around, she had to fend for herself. In her letters, she says that she works for a wealthy family as a gardener. She gets paid very little but, she gets free housing and three meals a day. With what ever money she gets, she buys stamps and paper, to write to me. I have told her several times, that if she can't afford it, she can take a break. But, no matter what, I receive letters from her.
She claims to enjoy gardening but,it can be tired some. Some of the servants that used to serve her, went to work with her at the same manor as her. She says that Finny, the previous gardener, is also a gardener there. She says the gardens are immense. Bard, the old cook, works as a chef there as well, Meyrin, the previous maid, is also a maid there, and Snake, who used to work any left over jobs that the other three didn't have time for, is in charge of grooming and taking care of the animals. As for Tanaka, she says he moved in with his oldest daughter and her husband.
I would have visited her in those three years but, I have been giving more and more responsibilities so, when it is my time to take over the company, I am fully capable of doing so. I am suppose to take over the company once I turn the age of nineteen. When I take over the company, I plan on having Ciel live with me. If she would like to, of coarse.
Sometimes, when I am suppose to be working, I let my mind wonder about her. I'm sure she has grown into a fine, young woman. I can just picture her gardening the flowers.
Oh, I have almost forgotten. I have to write her back.
''Dearest Ciel,
How is work going? Are you eating and sleeping enough? Try your hardest and show all those noble women who has the prettiest flowers. Do you like the candy I sent you in the last letter? You always mentioned enjoying sweets so, I thought I'd send you something for your sweet tooth. I hope to see you in the near by future. I love you.
Sincerely, Sebastian.''
I fold the letter and put it into the envelope. I walk out of my office and down the hall, to find someone that is free to mail this. I run into one of my servants, Grell. Lovely.
''Hey,Se-ba-chan!'' He yells, even though I am inches away from him.
''Hello, are you free at the moment?'' I ask.
Grell is one of the servants working for my father. He is a rather useless worker and does nothing. He has flaming red hair, with an attire to match. His teeth are sharp, one day when he was bored I walked in on him sharpening his teeth, instead of washing the carriage.
''Why, yes! Does Sebby want to hang out with little ole me?'' He replies.
''No, I want you to mail this letter. Thank you.'' I say, handing him the letter.
''You still write to that brat? What's so great about him?''
''Him?''
Is he that stupid to mix up genders?
''I got to mail this letter, later Sebby!'' He says, running out the front door.
Back to work. I start to walk back into my office, when I hear a loud boom coming from the kitchen. I walk to where the noise came from.
I walk into the kitchen, to see William and the kitchen as black as coal.
''What happen here?!'' I yell.
''Well, you see. I wanted to make lunch in time so, I used my flame thrower. I see I have failed. Apologies sir.'' He says, fixing his glasses.
''Just, clean it up.''
I walk out, heading back into my office, when I hear another noise. A lady's voice coming towards me at full speed. She has a bunch of fine china in her hands. As she is about to fall, I catch her. Elizabeth, my clumsy maid.
''I am so sorry!'' She squeals.
''It is alright, just please try to be more careful.''
''Yes!''
She picks herself up and the china and runs off. I try, once again, to get into my office, when I am met with another problem.
I hear cries from outside a nearby window. I open the window to see my gardener, Lau, crying over a flower he destroyed. I simply close the window and walk into my office.
What a perplexing group of servants my dad hired. He coudn't hire one decent servant. And, he expects me to deal with it all, while he is away on all his business trips with mother.
Times like these, I let my mind wonder of Ciel. Does she have to deal with things such as these? Is she a better gardener than Lau? Is she sleeping and eating properly? Is she trying her hardest? I hope she is doing okay, she may not put it into her letters but, I know she is a very frail girl. I know what she'sbeen through, I may not be able to relate but, I wish to be there for her in any way I can be.
I can't wait to see her. I'm positive her beauty will blind out any noble women's. I'll have her live with me and we'll be happy. Something I know she sometimes lacks.
If I can, I will bring all the other servants with us. I am sure she would be glad about that. I will spend as much time with her as I possibly can. I will make sure she will never have to go through any more heart ache. I'll make sure to inform her I love her everyday so, she won't ever forget.
I can't wait to meet her.
