Judy and I raced into the living room.
"Tak," I yelled.
Tak looked past my mom's shoulder at me. "Toby?"
My mom turned around, looking confused. "Toby?"
Judy placed her hands on my shoulders. "You remember Juliet, don't you?" she said to Tak.
Tak looked puzzled for a brief moment, then quickly caught on."Oh, yes, Juliet.." She walked in past Mom. She was no longer dressed in her space dress and was wearing a T-shirt and jeans. "When I heard you running out I thought you were Toby."
"Mom, this is a friend from school," Judy said.
"She's your friend?" Mom asked suspiciously. "Then why was she asking for Toby?"
"Um, I ask her to help tutor Toby for a test," Judy lied. "We're going upstairs now."
Judy and I grabbed Tak's arms and pulled her with us. We went up to Judy's room.
After Judy pulled the door shut Tak turned to me. "Toby, why are you still a girl?" she wanted to know. "I thought you would have changed back by now."
"Because you've never told me how to change back," I told her.
"I haven't?" Tak slapped her forehead. "Changing back is easy. I'm surprised you haven't figured it out yourself. All you have to do is hold up the wand and say, Zeron Crystal, deactivate."
"Could you leave me alone for a minute?" I said to Judy and Tak.
Judy and Tak went out into the hall. I pulled off the pink nightgown, picked up the purple dress I had thrown into a corner of the room, and slipped it on because I did not want to change back into a boy while wearing my sister's nightgown.
I pulled on my silver boots, then went over to where Judy's gym bag was laying and took out the armor, and began putting it on.
When I was fully dressed in my armor I raised the wand over my head and said, "Zeron Crystal, deactivate!"
Light washed over me, then I got that Silly Putty feeling. When it cleared up I raced to Judy's full-length mirror and was happy to see my face staring back at me. I was a boy again. No more peeing sitting down or wearing a dress. I wanted to kiss myself. I felt as though I was meeting a long-lost friend.
I looked back over my shoulder at the door. "You can come in now," I called.
Judy and Tak came in.
Judy grinned when she saw me. "Welcome back," she said.
When I saw Tak it reminded me that I was mad at her. I mean, I was glad that she told me how to change back, but why did she ditch me in the first place?
"Tak, why did you run off?" I asked.
Tak sucked on her lower lip. "I had another engagement," she confessed.
"I was trapped as a girl since yesterday," I told her.
Tak sat on Judy's bed. "I'm sorry about that," she said. "After you defeated the Crillinarian I thought everything was good, so I went to work on my other business. I thought you'd be smart enough to figure out how to change back on your own."
Did she just insult me? No time to worry about it now.
"What kind of business?" I wanted to know.
Tak frowned. "I-I cannot say. At least not now."
Judy sat on the bed next to Tak. "Why did you come back?" she asked. "Was it to take back the wand."
"No," Tak replied. "I came back to begin Toby's training."
