Toby P.O.V

I was sitting in class when I started hearing Tak's voice.

"Toby, can you hear me?" it sounded like her voice was coming from my bookbag that had my wand in it.

I picked up my bookbag, placed it on my desk, and peered inside.

"Toby, you read me?" Tak's voice was coming from my wand.

"Tak, how are you doing that?" I whispered.

"There's a communicator built into your wand," Tak said. "Man, do I have to tell you everything?"

"I'm in class now," I whispered harshly.

"Who are you talking to, Mr. McKain?" I heard the Teacher ask sternly.

"No one, Mrs. Stirnin," I replied. "I was just talking to, um, my pencils."

Some of the class thought that was a riot.

"Your pencils?" Mrs. Stirnin said, stoned face. "Well, I suggest you talk to your school supplies on your own time."

More laughter.

"Toby, they sent down another Crillinarian," I heard Tak say.

"Not now,"

"Not now?" Mrs. Stirnin shrilled.

"I mean, not now is the time for jokes," I said.

"Something I'm sure we both can agree on, Mr. McKain."

"Transform and meet me outside your school," Tak said. "I can teleport you to where the Crillinarian is at."

I raised my hand. "Mrs. Stirnin, I have to go to the bathroom."

Mrs. Stirnin let out a breath, then handed me a hall pass. "Don't dillydally," she warned.

I took the hall pass, grabbed my book bag, and went out into the hall. I raced over to the boys' room. I gazed around to make sure no one was watching, then dashed inside the boys' room. Good, it was empty.

I pulled my wand out of my bookbag and transformed myself into Zeronia. I hid my bookbag in the stall behind a toilet and ran out of the bathroom.

Debra P.O.V

I am Debra Wilton, editor of the school paper and future anchorwoman. I was heading back to class after interviewing the lunch lady about changing Taco day from Tuesday to Wednesday. I was turning a corner when I saw Toby standing outside the boys' room holding his bookbag. He was looking around nervously. I dashed back behind the corner before he saw me.

I chanced to peer around the corner in time to see Toby disappear into the boys' room.

Toby was not what I would call a trouble-maker, but what was he being so secretive about? Maybe it was my reporter instinct kicking in, but I smelled a story.

Suddenly to my shock Zeronia came running out of the boys' room and raced out the nearest exit.

What was she doing in the boys' bathroom? I asked myself. Was she hiding in there when Toby went in? Did Toby know she was in there? And what happened to Toby? Maybe he surprised Zeronia and she did something to him! I had to know.

I crept over to the boys' room door. "Toby?" I called as I tapped on the door with my knuckles.

There was no answer.

"I saw Zeronia leaving the bathroom," I said through the door.

Still no answer.

Now I was worried. I pushed the door opened and went inside.
