Harry, who was undoubtedly infuriated, hopped on his broom and followed Draco to the sky. And that was violating the rules. Hermione sighed and muttered, "They're going to be in so much trouble," elongating the 'so.'
"I know, Hermione, Madam Hooch can come anytime," Lucinda added.
Finally, the two boys came back to the ground, Harry beaming and holding Neville's Remembrall. But this may not end well.
"HARRY POTTER!" Professor McGonagall was practically running towards the students. She took Harry away - the Slytherins smirked, and the Gryffindors were worried.
Then Madam Hooch came back, and the class resumed. The feeling of air hitting the skin and flying through it brought happiness to Lucinda. Surprisingly, Thomas was good at flying, even though he said it was his first try.
Dinnertime came, and everyone was curious about what happened to Harry, but the brunet did not say a word. And that was the best way to torture curious eleven-year-olds. However, it may not have been a bad thing since Harry was smiling like an idiot.
Lucinda soon noticed Draco walking to the Gryffindor table.
'What is that kid up to? Probably intimidating Harry.'
And the assumption was correct. Lucinda could not help but overhear.
"Having a last meal, Potter? When are you getting the train back to the Muggles?"
"You're a lot braver now you're back on the ground, and you've got your little friends with you," Harry threw a sassy remark.
"I'd take you on any time on my own. Tonight, if you want. Wizard's duel. Wands only - no contact. What's the matter? Never heard of a wizard's duel before, I suppose?"
A wizard's duel? That escalated quickly. If any of them were caught, that would lead to a severe loss in points.
"Of course he has," said Ron, "I'm his second. Who's yours?"
Now was the time to intervene. Lucinda walked over to where the boys were seated, cleared her throat, and said, "You can't duel each other - first, it won't do any damage to either of you, and second, what if you're caught?"
"It's not your business," Draco retorted, "Crabbe will be my second. Midnight all right? We'll meet you in the trophy room. That's always unlocked."
"It's alright, Lucinda," Harry said in a much kinder tone as Draco walked away. But the point was that it was not alright. Lucinda had to take the last sanctuary: risking being caught and sneaking out of the Gryffindor dormitory at night. She slid back to her seat and re-started eating her meal.
"What happened?" Thomas asked, and Lucinda shook her head, saying, "Nothing. Just a bit of quarreling." However, the others did not seem to believe her.
It was eleven twenty, and Lucinda sneaked out of her dormitory room with a thin sweatshirt on her dressing-gown. Surprisingly, Hermione was also there.
"Lucinda, what are you doing here?"
"Um, let's say, putting a stop to the idiots?"
"I heard the conversation too. That's why I'm here." Of course, Hermione was the disciplined student of Gryffindor.
But Hermione was not the only student out in the common room. Out of the dark, a slender figure appeared, surprising Lucinda.
"What the bloody hell!" It seems like Lucinda caught up on Newt's habit of saying 'bloody.'
