Gabriel Pov

I don't know what to say.I mean Eli hates me at the moment. Mom and Dad will probably come home. I just don't want Eliza getting in trouble for something I did.I was protecting myself like I was trained. That was my choice.

"Gabriel Alexander Herondale!! Get down here now!!!"

I ran downstairs to see Mom, Dad, Aunt Izzy, Uncle Alec, and Grandma and Grandpa.

"You're back...."I said.

Mason and Eliza were sitting on the couch behind them.

"Yes we are back young man.You could have been kicked out of school for this."Dad said.

"I'm sorry! I did what I had to do!"

"So you had to go and fight back!?You're so stupid Gabriel! "Dad yelled.

"Jace! Maybe you should go on up to our room and unpack."Mom said.

"Clar...."

"No.Jace.Go.Now."

Dad walked upstairs with Uncle Alec following.

"Eliza.Mason.Why don't you two go show your Grandparents what you've been doing in training."

They walked upstairs with Grams and Gramps trailing behind.

Eliza POV

So Mom didn't look happy but Dad was even worse.

We walked Grandma and Grandpa up to the training room.We walked past Mom and Dad's room and could hear Dad and Uncle Alec talking.
It's my fault.I should have been there to keep this from happening.

I told Grams and Gramps that I was tired and would see them in the morning.I could hear Mason doing the same as I walked to my room.
Gabriel wouldn't be in trouble if I had been there.

I tried pushing the thought out of my head.
You're a bad sister.

No.I tried my best.I can't protect them from everything.
You could have kept Dad from going off.You could have stopped the tears from falling down Gabe's face.

That was my breaking point.I burst into tears and fell asleep in the fetal position on my bed.

Clary POV

I tried and tried to talk to Gabriel. Jace didn't mean anything he said.But I know it must have hurt.

I walked into our room and decided against yelling at Jace.

"Clary.I didn't mean to say that.I don't know what happened.I'm sorry."Jace said.

"I don't know what to say to him....."

I was cut off by the sound of muffled sobs coming through the left side of our wall.

"Eliza."I said.I walked back out into the hallway and straight to Eliza's room.Jace was right behind me.
Knock knock

She didn't answer so I opened to door.There was my baby crying.

"Eli.Baby are you all right?"I asked.

She didn't answer.

Jace crossed the room and pulled her to his chest.I always knew she was a Daddy's Girl but I didn't think it went this far.She calmed down as soon as he wrapped her in his arms.

Then there was the scream.
