Chapter 6

"He'll find out some way Eliza."Mason said.

"Yeah,yeah.I know this."I say as I dial Devin's number.

"Hello?"

"Hey!Its Eliza."

"Oh hey."

"So I was wondering..."

"Yes..."

"Will you go out with me?"

"Yeah."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Okay.So I'll text you later.Bye."

"Bye."

Next Day

I ran downstairs in jeans,combat boots,white T-shirt and leather jacket.

"Woah there speedster.What's your rush?"Gramps asked.

"School!"I said.

"Devin."Mason muttered.

We walk out the door to see everyone there.

"Hey guys!" I said as I walked over to Devin.

Gabe POV

Eli and Devin walked side by side the walk.I got curious so I asked Mason.

"Yeah.Last night.I'm not happy about it either."

So that's what he said this morning.Figures.

We finally got to school.I walked to my first class and sat down.One of the girls started talking to me so I talked back.Turns out her boyfriend is the football team's star quarterback. He came up to me and said,"Don't be talking to my girl."

"Or what?"

"I'll beat you to the ground."

"We'll see about that."I said as I turned back around to talk to the girl.He came up and punched me so I did what I was trained to do.Fight back.I punched him in the stomach right when the teacher walked in.

"Fighting in my class I see.Both of you to the office  now."

I walked to the office  and found myself in front of the principal.

"Why?"he asked.

"I want my sister and brother."

"They want always be there to help you through your problems Mr.Herondale."

"I want my siblings."

"Sorry.Not until you answer my question."

"Then I'll sit here all day."

"Fine.Ms.Mabel, get the other two up here."

A few minutes later Eliza and Mason walked in.

"You wanted.to speak with us?"Eliza asked.

"Actually,your brother here was fighting in class and he wouldn't tell me why unless you two were here."

We all looked at Gabe.

"He hit first.I was talking to his supposed girlfriend and he said I wasn't allowed to and he hit me in the face."Gabe turns his head to show us the mark.

"Gabe since you were protecting yourself,I'll let you off with a warning.But you mister are in,serious trouble."The principal told us we could leave.When we were out in the hallway I blew it.

"Gabriel Alexander Herondale!You know better than this!How could you?"

"Eliza calm down!"Mason said.

"Our brother was almost kicked out of school and you want me to calm down?"

"You know  I'm going to protect myself Eliza."he said.

"Yeah well, when you get kicked out, I will be blamed."

"No you won't. "

"Yes. I was put in charge of making sure you two don't get in trouble."

"I'm sorry Eli."

"Yeah, sure you are."
