Chapter 5

Eliza POV

When we got home,Grams and Gramps were sitting in the kitchen.

"There you are!We've been waiting for what seemed to be hours!What took so long?"Grams asked.

"We walked with some friends."I said.It wasn't a lie.I mean Devin flirted with me the whole walk and Mason called him out on it.

"Are you guys hungry?"

"No."I said.

"Yes!"Said Mason.

"Yep!"Said Gabe.

"I will never understand the male's stomach.You can eat two cows and a pig for breakfast and then eat a feast for lunch and dinner."I said.

"You stated you're answer Eliza.They're male."Grams said.

I laughed and walked up to my room.I lay my bag by the door and jumped on my bed.I pulled my phone out and texted Alison.
E:Heyy!!!
A:Hi!!
E:What r u doing?
A:NM....U
E:Same...soooo
A:Yes.
E:What?
A:Yes u should go out with Devin
E:How did u......
A:I'm not stupid!!!!I've had a lot of.......

I didn't get to finish reading what she said because Mason grabbed my phone out of my hands.

"JOHNATHAN MASON HERONDALE!!!GIVE ME BACK MY PHONE!!!!!"I screamed.

He then read my messages.....until he got to

A:Yes u should go out with Devin

He looked like he wanted to punch something.

"ELIZA ADELE HERONDALE!YOU ARE NOT GOING OUT WITH HIM!!!"

"And why not?"

"He's a boy."

"And....?"

"And.......I'm not letting a guy get anywhere near you."

"Well too bad."

"I have an idea....let's call Dad."

"NOOOOO!!!!"

"Why not?"

"Please Mason....please don't do this!"

It was too late.Dad had already answered.

"Hello?"Dad asked.

"Hey Daddy!"Mason said.

"Mason?Where's Eliza?"

"Right here.But I have to tell you something."

"What is it?"

I silently begged him not to say it.

"Mason...."

"Sorry....I just wanted to tell you that I made lots of friends today."

"That's awesome!"

"Yeah,well I'll call ya later!Love ya.Bye."and he hung up the phone.

"Thank you sooooo much!"I said as I hugged him until his eyeballs almost popped out.
