We ran for minutes that I couldn't bear to count, some of us jogged, some of us ran. But Thomas made sure that we stayed motivated and kept moving, we were trying to race the sun anyway.

Eventually, Thomas had begun to slow down at an opening and we all stopped next to it. Catching our breath and preparing for whatever happened next.

I watched as Thomas slowly peeked his head around the corner, looking into the corridor that held who knows what. "Is there a griever?" Chuck asks as Thomas comes around again, "yeah."

Everyone around me let out a shaking breath, and I did as well. Even though it was revealed that I was the creator of the grievers, and that I could practically control them. Thomas, Newt, and Minho figured that it would be best for me if the secret had stayed between the six of us. Thomas, Teresa, Chuck, Newt, Minho, and I.

"Take this Chuck." Minho says while giving Chuck the key, which is some metallic cylinder with wires poking out of it, apparently it was found inside of a griever.

I watched Chuck examine the key, he was clearly shaken up by the mention of another griever and having the big responsibility of holding our only way out.

"It's okay, Chuck..." I begin, "just stick with us." I finish while glancing to Teresa.

"Once we're through, it'll activate the door. All right, we stay close, we stick together." Thomas begins while tightening his grip on his spear. "Together, we get through this, or we die trying."

"Ready?" He asks everyone, and I get out my machete while everyone else gets out their own weapons. I look to Newt for a brief moment, and once he turns to me he nods his head. I nod my head back, a growing smirk evident on my face. I was ready.

As Thomas looks at each and every one of us, he speaks: "LET'S GO!"

Everyone starts screaming as we run into the corridor, which consisted of one long stone bridge and a large door on the other end of it, the griever was already charging towards us. The boys with the spears immediately attacked the griever, sending it flying to one side of the bridge while we gathered on the opposite side of it.

I tried my best to stay with Chuck and Teresa, but it was kind of hard considering the situation. "Watch the tail!" I hear someone scream, and I immediately crouch down out of instinct. But then out of the corner of my eye I see someone fall off the bridge, we lost one.

I then avert my eyes to Teresa and Chuck, they were both next to each other while Teresa was crouched onto the ground like me. All of a sudden, a griever leg had landed itself right in front of Teresa, and she takes the sudden chance to hit it with her weapon.

This sends the griever leg flying right back into the air, but it had unfortunately knocked the key out of Chuck's hand. "The key!" Chuck and I both yell, Chuck has a head start and I watch as the key rolls off the bridge, but it is thankfully saved by Chuck who is now hanging off of the bridge from his hips and up.

"Don't worry Chuck! I got you!" I say as I begin to pull him up by his backpack, but it was then I noticed that another griever was making its way up the side of the bridge.

"Pull me up! Pull me up!" Chuck yells, and I pull him up faster just as Teresa comes to help us. Once Chuck is back on the bridge, I take this time to kick the griever in its face. Which would be considered a dumb decision, but this had luckily stopped the griever for a second or two.

I get up and run towards the boys, they had just finished pushing the first griever off.
But then I suddenly look to my right after hearing an all to familiar screech, and I look just in time to see yet another griever climbing over the bridge. There were two now.
