Airplane Food

I heard a bang and I quickly walked to the kitchen to check if my mom was there. Once I went there, everyone was standing there and I saw a bunch of balloons. There was a congratulations sign on the wall and everyone was congratulating me. Hazel was inhaling a balloon for who knows why. This was me reacting: wat... I made a really confused face and everyone laughed.

"They accepted you!! Congrats Lyla!" Hazel said talking in a high pitched voice because of the helium. I started laughing and everyone followed.

"Did you get accepted?" I asked her curiously.

"Unfortunately no. But at least you did!" She said happily.

"Did I really get accepted!?" I said not believing what was happening.

"Yup! They also said that you have to move to Seoul Korea in 2 weeks. I'll be sad but you will be following your dreams so I'll be happy for you!" Mom said. I started to tear up and then Hazel yelled out,"Let's eat already!" That's when I noticed my favorite food. Pork and jjajamyeon.

"Thank you so much!" I said smiling happily.

"Ha ha no problem Lyla. Before we eat, some special guests are coming today!" Right as she said that, the doorbell rang.

"Who is it?" I ran to open the door.

"HII!!" It was Esther and dad!

"I thought you guys were coming back later!"

"Well you got accepted so we kinda had a change of plans." Esther explained.

"Who cares? We're here now!" Dad said. We had a party until 7. Hazel had to leave so she went home. Now it's 8 p.m. and Esther finished getting ready for bed.

"Why did you shower so early? It's only 8!"

"Well I wanted to sleep early and talk to you. I have a gift for you! Here." She gave me a pretty present and I opened it.

"Omg! Thank you Easter! (Easter isa my nickname for Esther. She kinda hated it when I first called her that, but now she's used to it.) You're really good at drawing! It actually looks like me!" I said liking at the portrait of me that she drew. There was also another present.

"Of course it looks like you! I'm a professional drawer! There's another present! Open it." She pushed the present my way. It was decorated nicely and it said shine on it. I opened it and saw a little charm bracelet. It had an 'L' on it. The bracelet was customized and it said, Keep following your dreams and remember that we will always be supporting you! I was touched and I hugged Esther.

"Thank you so much! I will keep following my dreams!" I said while sobbing.

"Ha ha you're just overreacting!" Esther said as she hugged me back.

[Lyla POV]

It's almost time to leave. My friends said goodbye to me. Hazel didn't get accepted to Cube and she was devastated but she just got a letter yesterday from Dream Tea Entertainment saying that they would let her audition for their company. I'm sad that she won't be with me but at least she will be accepted at another company. Right now I'm at the airport with my parents and Esther.

"Remember to contact us!" My mom said for almost the hundredth time.

"I got it I will!" I said trying not to sound irritated because she's been saying that fir the past 2 hours.

"Keep that bracelet safe!" Esther said while giving me a hug. My dad just did there quietly.

"What's wrong, dad?" I asked.
