The moon has no light of its own, so used to stealing from the sun.

Hoarding what little light it can get to glow in the night, hoping to be seen like the sun is: as something marvelous, worthy of praise.

The moon, so used to being shoved aside, never thought it would find solace as it crosses the night.

And then the stars came, they came dancing and twinkling, singing with happiness.

Here, they said to the moon. Don our light and dance with us, dear moon.

And the moon, glittering in the stars gentle radiance, danced with glee.
