Jealousy, what a sly character.

Always wearing the face of another; always deceiving, never showing its true face.

Mayhap it wears the face of the Dog, whining and whimpering, begging for attention.

Mayhap it wears the face of the Jackal, taking any and all it can, consuming you at its leisure.

Mayhap it wears the face of the Snake, hiding; striking at the most opportune moment.

Mayhap it wears the face of the Scorpion, standing still and attacking once it has you in its reach.

Mayhap it wears the face of the Magpie, stealing from you when you're turned away, your shining moment in its claws.

Mayhap it wears the face of the Monkey, smiling to your face only to use its quick hands to gain at your expense.

Mayhap it wears the face of the Wolf, possessive and aggressive; snarling at anyone who tries to touch what is theirs.

Jealousy, what a sly character, never showing its truths.

Jealousy, what a crafty creature, always unpredictable.

Jealousy, oh what a talented actor, always wearing another's face.
