The man ran out of the office and into the corridor frantically. He kept looking back in fright. Clutching onto the paper file folder, he ran directionless in the dark.
The company was supposed to be isolated at this time at night. But instead, a man was running away from his possible murderer. His breath hitched when he came to a dead end.
He glanced around frantically, trying to find an exit. He ran back and found the door to the emergency stairs. He swung it open and ran down the steps. He was tired but he couldn't stop running.
He got out to the underground parking lot. It was a lot more darker and hotter than inside the company. He panted heavily as his grip on the paper file tightened. He carefully weaved through the pillars, hiding behind some cars.
He stuck close to a pillar, his breath heavy but silent. He kept peeking around him, just in case.
*Gasp*
His heart stopped when he felt the cold tip of a gun. He whimpered as the gun pressed into his neck. He fell down to his knees and rubbed his hands together.
"Why are you chasing me! I don't even know the whole story. Please let me go." He cried and pleaded.
The killer also knelt down. He lifted the man's chin with his gun. The man couldn't see his face as it was covered with a mask.
"Please... I didn't mean to find out." He cried.
The killer let out a bone chilling chuckle. The man gulped as the killer loaded his gun making a clicking noise. Then, with his other hand, the killer slowly pulled down his mask.
The man furrowed his brows in confusion. He had seen the killer before but he couldn't pinpoint where.
"Your curiosity is your own killer. But unfortunately, I need to do a test."
"A.... t-test?" The man stuttered.
The killer nodded, flashing a smile. At that moment, the man knew his fate. He wasn't getting out alive.
Hyunjae and Jacob were in the kitchen, preparing a light breakfast for the four. All of them decided to sleep over at Hyunjae's place. Of course, Chanhee and Jacob didn't bother to ask while Kevin did.
"Aren't the two lovebirds awake yet?" Hyunjae asked.
"Let them be. It's rare Chanhee gets to sleep peacefully." Jacob said, flipping an omelet.
At that moment, Kevin trudged into the kitchen. He muttered a good morning and went straight to the fridge. He took a long gulp of cold water to cool down his throat.
"I take it Chanhee's still sleeping?" Jacob said.
"Yeah. He didn't even budge when I got up." Kevin chuckled.
After talking a while, Kevin went back into the guestroom where Chanhee was still passed out. The image put a smile on Kevin's lips. He walked silently to pull the curtains away.
Chanhee curled up in the blanket when the sun partly shone on his face. Kevin giggled at the small whines emitting from his boyfriend. He sat down beside the figure and leant in near his ear.
"Get up, sleepyhead." He whispered.
No response. Kevin frowned.
"Hee~~ mochi, get up. It's quite late."
