Y/n POV
I slowly put my hands up "names y/n I come in peace I'm just trying to find a place to stay for the night I mean no harm" I spoke to the female voice "where did you come from" I stiffened at the question should I tell her I mean might as well right she does have a gun to my head "wckd I'm running from them I escaped the maze trials and they threw me in here which they called the scorch" "WHAT! WCKD are they gonna come for me" the voice got more shaky and scared "NO no no like I said they took me but I'm running from them I would never bring you to those bastards" I spoke trying to reason with the unknown girl I heard her sigh in relief as she took the gun away "turn around I won't hurt you" she assured me nicely I turned around to look at her she was a little girl around maybe 12 years old I smiled at her "what's you name" I asked her "names Lily" my eyes light up at her name "I had a friend named that very sweet girl but I don't know where she is now" I frowned "where are you going" lily asked "well I'm going to the mountains to the right arms people I believe are against wckd and hopefully find my friends there too" I told her "oh really umm here come with me" she said excitedly smiling she lead me into her house I believe "how long have you been here" I asked "alone I mean" "a while" she answered then she took the gun and pointed it at me "woah what are you doing" then she pulled the trigger nothing came out she giggled "it's fake but works every time she laughed causing me to let out a giggle as well "here come down" she lead me to what looked like a basement down there she had a garden with all kinds of plants and also had a fridge and waters inside as well as other drinks and a random big brown thing "hey what's that" I asked pointing at the brown thing "what? Have you never seen a cake before?" She asked confused "no sadly wckd took our memories I only really remember my time when they put me in the maze and stuff" I looked down sad "oh so you never had a birthday or at least remember having one"she asked "nope" "hey got sit over there for a minute I'll be right over I listened and went to the table after 5 minutes she came over holding the cake with two candles on it "happy birthday too you happy birthday too you happy birthday dear y/n happy birthday to youuu!" She sang and laughed i bursted out laughing "omg lily thank you" I said as we both laughed "here try it" she gave me a piece of cake and I tasted it it was delicious I've never tasted something so good "wow it's delicious" I said with a big smile lily giggled "here let's eat it together I've been saving it for a special occasions and this seems like that occasion me and lily ate the cake then for once I my life I was stuffed so was she "hey we should go to bed it's pretty late lily spoke "yeah" I nodded as we walked up to what looked like an attic it had two beds and two stuffed animals on the side " hey sparks hey dash" she spoke to the stuffed animals I smiled at her actions "did someone use to live with you here" "yeah my grandpa after my mom and dad became cranks due to the flare he took me in it's was fine for a while but he soon got infected and himself so he wouldn't hurt me" she frowned I felt for this girl she didn't deserve this none of us did but we couldn't change was has already been done I got up and hugged her as she hugged me back "hey let's go to bed k" I whispered to her she nodded crawling into bed "hey y/n are you leaving tomorrow?"she asked "yeah I have to find my friends" I said in a sad tone "can I come with you"she asked me i thought for a minute they nodded "yeah sure I mean your not dead weight you can sure take care of yourself" she jumped up in excitement and came running to me tackling me into a hug. I hugged her back "here I want you to have this" lily handed me a bracelet that she had a matching one to "what's this" I asked lily "it's a bracelet my mom had for me and her I want you to have one your my family from now on"lily said proudly "really you think of me as family" "I sure do" she spoke "sisters?" She asked "sisters" I assured her as we locked our pinky's in a pinky promise she then laid down next to me as we drifted of to sleep hopefully ready for the days to come
