Who's Gilly's best friend?

The crew and I are just walking and talking in the village. Much to Jax's displeasure Jack is there too. In fact they're bickering again. I sigh. They have been doing this constantly. I better see what's up. 

"Guys," I say. "Guys!" They are still fighting. 

"Guys!!!!!" I exclaim. 

They both turn to me. "Yes?" They ask. 

"What in Enchantasia are you fighting about?" I ask. 

"This guy is an idiot," they both say at the same time. They glare at each other. "How dare you! I'm better," they say, twinning again. 

Jack growls. "Who says prince?" he asks. 

"Gilly does," Jax says. 

"What? When did I even-" 

"And why would she like an egotistic prince like you?" Jack asks. 

Jax shoots daggers at him. "I'm her best friend. Who are you?" Jax asks. 

"You? Even I'm a better friend than you." 

"Excuse me? I'm not the one who risked her life and all of Enchantasia!" Jax exclaims. 

"That was a mistake! Besides, at least I was nice to her. You were horrid," Jack says. 

Jax shoots daggers at him. "I was not! I was just looking out for her. I'm her best friend!" Jax yells. 

"I'm a better one!" Jack yells back. 

"Guys, shut up! Wilson is my best friend!" I cut in. 

They both turn to me with Jack surprised and Jax looking like a lost little puppy. 

"Yes, Wilson is my best friend guys. Just because he's a mouse doesn't mean he's worth any less!" I exclaim. I realize I could have said Kayla or Maxine but Wilson needs more recognition.

"Wilson?!?" They both say. 

"Yes Wilson! Wilson is awesome Wilson is the best he is WILSON!!!" I exclaim. 

Wilson pops out of my pocket and looks like he's grinning. 'Yes I'm her best friend' I somehow hear him say. 

"Okay, fine, I'm your second best friend!" Jax exclaims. 

No way. He dragged me into this by saying like him better. No way hosay. 

"Nope. Kayla." 

Jax is turning red. "Kayla?" he whines. "Fine 3rd." 

"Uh uh, Maxine," I say. 

Jax's face is full on red. "Maxine? Maxine?! But I'm your-" 

"Well if you're going to overreact-" 

"I am not over reacting!!! I was your best friend! This is an appropriate reaction!!!" he exclaims.

"If I knew you cared so much-" 

Jax calms himself down. "Fine 4th," he says. 

"AG." 

"What? Fine 5th." 

"Ollie." "mmrrrrmmmm 6th." 

"Jocelyn." 

Jocelyn smirks. 

"Jocelyn? Jocelyn?!?! You hate her! You can't like her better than me," he growls. 

"Oh yes I can! At least she's honest and she's smart. She actually stopped bullying people," I say.

Jocelyn laughs. "Yeah prince, she likes me better than you." 

"So I'm 7th?!?!" he asks. 

"Yes and Jack is 8th." 

Jax turns to Jack. "See I'm better than you." He turns back to me. "Why am I 7th?!?!?!?! I was supposed to be first," he whines. "Not 7th." 

I giggle. I can't help it. He looks so cute when he's jealous. Wait did I just call Jax cute? Red Riding Hood help me. At least I didn't say it out loud. 

"Don't worry Jax. You're a good 7th best friend. Don't fret over it," I say. 

Jax growls. "Whatever." 

I was totally lying by the way. Jax is my best friend but I'm not going to tell him that. We continue walking and talking and behind me I hear Jack teasing Jax and Jax yelling at Jack. Oh boy, here we go again.

***Jocelyn's mind: oh gosh Wilson is her best friend she said that is hilarious. She even said I was her best friend before Jax and that was just haha wow. But she is right. I am smart and honest possibly the smartest here and I don't sugar coat things for people. People need to know if there is something wrong. Now I am going to add this moment to my Jilly file.
