STAY WITH ME, PLEASE?

There was a girl who treated me as his own king. He never leave my side even I push her away. I don't love her but she always push her self to me. She always make me smile in her simple gesture.

"Ethan! This is for you!" She gave me the cake on a plate. She bake it. For me.

"I don't eat cheap foods." Hinawi ko ang kamay niya sanhi upang mabitiwan niya ang platong may pandecrema.

She's on the urge of crying but I enter my room and lock the door. I didn't even bother on asking how she feel. I heard her sobs.

I'm guilty. It's my fault that she's crying.

She stay on my house. She stay even I didn't let her. Sa sofa siya madalas matulog at kapag gising na ako ay naghahanda na siya ng almusal na lagi kong tinatanggihan.

Months had passed and our company began to be bankrupt. Ang mga problema ay sabay sabay na dumating sa buhay ko. Nandoon na sa punto na ang tanging laman lang ng tiyan ko ay alak.

I became hopeless. I became worthless. The only thing I have is her.

"Stella?" I called her name when I saw her on the sofa with a bag. She look at me and smile.

But that's smile is not the smile what I saw everyday. It's not genuine. It's not her usual smile to me.

"Ethan. I need to leave," Those words made my heart crash into pieces.

"No. I won't let you... No, not this time.." My tears fell as I watch her stood up with determination to leave me.

"I'm sorry... Nakakapago na kasing maghabol.." She sobs as she look at me.

The love I always saw on her eyes was gone. I tried to find it but I just failed. The only thing I saw is pain.

"Not this time.. Stay with me, please? Kahit ngayon lang.. Kahit isang linggo lang.." I bended my knee and kneel infront of her. I can't afford to lose her. I don't want to.

"One week. One week is enough. I will stay but it's only for one week." She whispered.

She stay with me. Only for a week. She is not the Stella I knew because she began to be cold. She became distant.

"One week is done. Goodbye, Ethan."

I thoight I was just dreaming. But, I am not. She left me. She left me when I needed her the most.

I smiled bitterly.

"Ethan! This for you!" I whispered to myself. This is for me, it's my consequences for hurting me.
