my brother is going through something, was all in raena's mind as she waited for customers at the seat behind the cashier in the convenience store.

though the conversation happened a few hours ago, she could still not believe what its all come to. she was hurt by him making fun of her antics but after thinking, she really had her heart aching for him to be better. but for him its all a joke.

whatever was going on, the passionate way of highschool jeongguk was no longer there and it was up to her to bring it back. here she was thinking she could cheer up the atmosphere by talking a lot but the one person she couldn't cheer up was her brother, and maybe yoongi but her brother was the one that needed her.

raena was too busy thinking to notice the customer who entered in.

taehyung rubbed his eyes and walked towards the counter where raena was and waved a hand over her face. when she didn't notice, he rubbed her head full of hair and she became aware of his presence.

"rae rae?" he asked, slightly pouting.

"hi tae tae," she replied gloomy.

"hey what's wrong?" he asked, face etched with concern.

"nothing I'm fine," raena shrugged realizing she was being gloomy. "whatcha doing here, though? it's getting late and there's a convenience store near your house." she said changing her attitude.

taehyung wasn't convinced but he shook it off.

"eh, i was bored at home and i kind of wanted to see a friend," he shrugged, "plus i'm buying some snacks to repay yoongi for spending all night writing me a song. i feel bad. he came late to my house today looking all tired."

raena immediately frowned. so that's why he was tired.

"he tells me you 'bumped' into each other once again? tried to take a picture of him?" taehyung giggled. raena nodded. "let me see~!"

raena giggled as well and showed him the picture she took of the peaceful yoongi.

taehyung cackled at the sight of his friend.

"he has that same face all the time. always so serious. tsk," taehyung shook his head then  went searching for snacks.

"how come?" raena asked curiously, eyes focused on her nails.

"eh i dunno. i think because his dad is pretty serious so he just grew up that way too no big reason. but he can be fun sometimes," taehyung replied opening the fridge and taking out banana milk.

"make sense," raena nodded. "what's your new song going to be about?"

taehyung rang back to the counter and placed all the items next to the cash register. he recalled talking to yoongi about the mystery girl.

"nothing," he shrugged, avoiding raena's gaze. he knew she was going to protest in some way so he suppressed his smile.

raena scoffed, "you're going to have a song about nothing?" she scanned the items under the price gun.

taehyung nodded innocently, holding his laughter, "i mean yeah. sometimes we feel like nothing and the only way to feel like nothing is when we used to feel like something. i used to be this and that and now i'm not. that kind of thing."

raena stopped at his words and immediately thought of jeongguk. he used to be someone with a lot of passion for something until someone told him it wasn't possible. that someone was their parents and that something was art of every form.

jeongguk was a great artist, he edited videos and acted in plays at school from 13 to 17 years old, he sang sometimes, danced when the teachers weren't looking, drew cover albums for people's mixtapes at school until their parents told him he could not succeed in something pertaining art. "art is just a hobby," they said and that led to the unwanted rebellion against his parents and what they have now.

a hand suddenly waved in front of raena's eyes, bringing her back from her thoughts. her eyes widened and she looked up at her friend. he offered her a smile.

"you good, rae rae?" he asked, concern in his eyes.

"yeah, yeah!" raena beamed at him, "you just gave me an idea actually to help me with my gloomy self."

tae gasped, "so you admit something was wrong with you?" pointing a finger at me.

raena made a face at him as she punched buttons on the register.

"fine i admit it," raena laughed, putting the items in a bag. she felt really happy now that tae had given her an idea. she needed to find a way to bring passion back to her brother.

taehyung fished out money from his pockets of his sweat pants and placed them on the counter.

"I knew there was something wrong. but just know that i know you love being positive, but you know you don't always have to right?"

raena sent him a sheepish smile and avoided his eyes. "yeah yeah i know." unfortunately it seems, jeongguk's twin also had the same problem of not admitting they have one.

"anyways the song isn't about nothing. you knew that right?" taehyung asked, smiling with his boxy smile. He took the bag of snacks and received his change. stuffing it in his pockets, he got an idea.

raena's lips morphed into a smile, "of course tae tae! i know you. i want to hear it. i'll come to your house tomorrow when i have time. i bet it's great."

"well since yoongs wrote it, of course it is," he replied. "bye, rae rae. gotta go. love you."

raena waved a bye, "i love me too, tae tae!"

as tae exited he chuckled at her response and headed back home.
