Team Tardis were walking through the ruins when they came across Epzo and Angstrom.
"What just happened?" Epzo asked, wondering about the electromagnetic pulse that had just swept through the building.
"What do you care? You don't care about anything," The Doctor retorted, making Cassie laugh. The blonde alien saw Angstrom's tracker and took it. "Ooo, tracker, thanks"
"How did you even do that?" Angstrom asked as the Doctor fixed it.
"Did I not mention? I am really smart," The Doctor replied.
Angstrom smiled. "Thank you"
"You are very welcome. Amazing what you can learn from a SniperBot. Like where their control commands emanate from, " The Doctor rambled as she lead them towards a sealed hatch, which didn't take her very long to unlock. "Also, maps. Which leads us... here"
"I want answers to this planet and I think they're down there," The Doctor said.
"Lovely," Cassie said with a sarcastic smile, biting back a wince as she felt a sharp pain against her stomach.
Graham stared down at the dark hole nervously. "You sure about that?"
"Nope. Come on," The Doctor said as she started climbing down. Cassie followed with a sigh.
"Why is it always ladders?" Ryan groaned as he followed the pair.
Cassie took the last step off the ladder when a sharper pain than before struck up her side, making her stumble. The Doctor grabbed her around the waist, worry gleaming in her eyes.
"Are you alright Cass?" The Doctor asked, carefully leading the Telepath away from the ladder.
Cassie nodded with a weak smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit sore"
The Doctor wasn't convinced and wanted to scan her but reluctantly nodded and sighed, when Cassie gave her a pleading expression. Instead the blonde alien scanned the tunnels.
"These tunnels runs under half of the planet. Think of the technology, the civilisation required to build all that. And then ask yourselves, where are they?" The Doctor said with awe and worry. She turned to Epzo with hidden concern. "How's the injury?"
Epzo grunted. "It's painful"
"Hope it's made you reconsider your entire philosophy," The Doctor said.
Epzo snorted. "Nope"
Graham swallowed nervously when he saw the scratch marks on the walls. "Doctor? Scorch marks all along the walls"
"Not exactly encouraging, is it?" Cassie said with a grimace.
Graham shook his head. "No"
"Still, best feet forward, " The Doctor commented. They walked further down when they came across a big door, that was locked. "Oh, big locked door. I love a big locked door"
"Shocker," Cassie said sarcastically.
The Doctor grinned at her as she unlocked the door with her sonic. "Ominous"
They left the tunnels and enter this large laboratory, which had lots broken equipment and jars full of mould. Cassie stared around the dusty room as dread hit her.
"What happened in here?" Cassie asked worriedly.
Yaz turned to Ryan and gestured to a doorway. "There's another room next door. We'll take a look?"
Ryan nodded as he followed her. "Yeah"
Cassie gave Yaz a mischievous smirk as she went in the other room with Ryan. Yaz rolled her eyes back at the Telepath, blushing.
