Cassie was woken up by Yaz, who shook her awake violently. She bit back many swear words as pain struck her in the side and slowly sat up.

"Yaz, seriously..." Cassie groaned, as she tried to sort out her fuzzy hair.

Yaz rolled her eyes and smirked. "We never got to talk about it yesterday. That kiss with Angstrom?"

Cassie groaned again. "Yaz! It was just a kiss. She kissed me"

"But you liked it," Yaz said teasingly, poking her in the arm. "You kissed her back"

"Yeah but..." Cassie sighed, rubbing her forehead.

She was going to say something else when they both heard the Doctor arguing with Graham down the corridor about bananas. Cassie giggled, something Yaz has never seen her do. And Yaz's eyebrows raised.

"You like the Doctor," Yaz said, smirking in realisation and wiggling her eyebrows.

"Oh shut up!" Cassie said, smacking Yaz with her pillow. She smiled when she heard Yaz's thoughts that were really overjoyed and happy for her.

"Look, it's clear you do. I've seen the way you look at her," Yaz said seriously. "And I say go for it because she definitely likes you to. Besides life's too short, what else is there in life?"

"Alright Dr Seuss," Cassie said sarcastically, making Yaz roll her eyes. She slowly climbed out of bed and started looking through her wardrobe. "The thing is Yaz, it can't happen"

"Why not?" Yaz demanded with an angry frown.

"She's an immortal alien and I'm...me," Cassie said, sighing. She was half alien but she was also half human to. "I've got too many issues"

Yaz rolled her eyes and gave Cassie a look. "I love you Cass, just like a sister but for crying out loud. Who hasn't got issues, Cass? Stop being a chicken and talk to her"

"And say what?" Cassie said. "I don't know the first thing about relationships or anything"

"Who does?" Yaz retorted. "We all make it up as we go along"

"Fine!" Cassie huffed exasperatedly. "I'll talk to her but if it gets awkward, I'm blaming you"

And Yaz grinned smugly as she left Cassie's room to grab some snacks from the kitchen cupboard. Cassie rolled her eyes as she pulled out another red leather jacket, styled slightly different from her own, a baggy black t-shirt and tight dark blue jeans. And a pair of dark blue converses. Cassie was never the one for fashion or trend because she just couldn't bring herself to care. She was sure that it was fun and interesting but just didn't want to give away more time in her day to look at it.

She slowly threw the clothes on with a pained wince. Her wound has started to close up, thankfully due to her regenerative abilities, but it was still taking it's time and it hurt like hell. The Telepath heard the Tardis hum worriedly in her mind again, making her sigh.

"I'm fine," Cassie said to the walls. When it beeped exasperatedly at her, she rolled her eyes. "Seriously I'm fine. Now you sexy woman,  please show me where the kitchen is?"

The Tardis sent a wave of warmth in her mind and Cassie grinned as the Tardis lead her to the kitchen. She patted the walls fondly.

"Thanks Sexy," Cassie said as she entered the kitchen.

Graham and Ryan shared looks as they made their own breakfast. Their thoughts making Cassie snort. Yaz rolled her eyes in exasperation, downing coffee after coffee. Whilst the Doctor stared at her in a way she hadn't ever looked at her before, with nostalgia and pained sadness, which quickly turned into amusement.
