*Thalia POV*
She was wearing my jacket.
Holy Hades.
Reyna Avila Ramirez-Arellano was wearing my leather jacket.
The Hunt was making a stop at Camp Jupiter on our way to Canada from New Mexico. We needed to regroup and get our resources back from the last hunting job and Frank, being the person he is, offered us a place to crash. I agreed immediately, although maybe a bit too quickly, because it led to an entire afternoon of the girls taking great pleasure in teasing me about my crush on Reyna.
It's not like I could help it. Anyone with eyes could see how beautiful Reyna was. She was confident and strong, but also one of the smartest and most strategical people I had ever met, excluding Annabeth. Some people may call her intimidating, but when Zeus is your father, intimidation from others only goes so far.
And now she was here, in the Hunters' tent facing away from me, talking to Briar.
And wearing my favorite leather jacket.
I had gotten it right before Annabeth, Percy, and I had been sent to Westover Hall. Since I'd joined the Hunt shortly after, it still fit me perfectly.
But I decided right then and there that Reyna looked better in it than I ever could.
The worn black leather hugged her frame nicely, the bottom of her white shirt just peeking out from under it. She had shorter arms than I did so the sleeves of the jacket hid her hands from view. Reyna's dark braid hung down the back and swayed a bit as she continued her conversation.
It was a good thing she wasn't facing me because I was almost positive I was blushing.
"You're staring, Lieutenant." Hadley smirked as she put down the bundle she was carrying and stood beside me.
I felt heat rise to my cheeks as I turned away. "Shut up. I'm not."
Hadley laughed loudly. "You're so in love with her, Thals, I swear. Just ask the girl out already!"
I shot her a perfected glare and walked the opposite direction from Reyna and Briar. "No, actually. I'm perfectly content with avoiding her for the time being. It seems to be working fine all the same."
"Uh huh." Hadley quipped, raising an eyebrow. "So you're just going to let her walk out of here with your favorite leather jacket with no consequence like she's doing right now?"
I turned around and saw that Hadley wasn't lying. Reyna had turned and was starting toward the tent flap, jacket still very much on her body.
I booked it over to her and stopped her right before she walked out. Reyna turned around, probably surprised that someone had the nerve to touch her before relaxing after she realized it was me.
"Hey, Thals. Thought I missed you for a second there. What's up?" She spoke as if nothing was out of the ordinary.
"'What's up' is you're wearing my jacket. My favorite one, actually." I somehow managed to speak without stuttering at the fact that she was actually wearing my clothes.
Reyna looked down at herself. "Oh wow, sorry. I forgot to give it back. Just, I came in here a while ago to make sure everyone was settled in alright because Frank had foregone the opportunity to actually tell me you all were coming." She rolled her eyes. "And some people said that I should stay for a while, so I did, but then I got cold and-" she looked down, shuffling her feet, "well, they said you'd be fine with it, so I took your jacket." She gave a little shrug at the end of her explanation that made it all the cuter.
I looked over at Briar who winked at me. I sent her a pointed look that Reyna must have picked up on because she launched into an apology.
"Yeah, I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't have worn it without permission from you anyways; I know it's your favorite. So, sorry about that." Reyna quickly took it off and shoved it into my hands, looking down and ducking out of the tent.
I followed her and grabbed her wrist, stopping her for the second time. "It- It's ok." I said while simultaneously cursing my stutter. "You can steal it anytime you'd like."
Reyna smiled a bit. "I'll keep that in mind." She nodded and retreated to her villa.
Turning quickly, I stormed back into the tent, slapping the tent flap as I entered. "What. The. Hell, Briar?!" I yelled as I looked up at everyone.
Briar was surrounded by the other Hunters who were sharing a collective laugh at my expense. "I-I'm s-sorry," she started, laughing and gasping, trying to get the words out. "It's just, y-you're so fucking whipped, Thalia. I mean, s-seriously. I-if a-anyone e-else had p-put that on, y-you would have thrown h-hands... b-but one look at that g-girl in your clothes and you turn into a f-fucking puppy!" That was all she could get out before collapsing into a fit of laughter, bringing several other Hunters down with her.
If I had been blushing before, I was practically a tomato now. "I hate all of you." I announced before turning on my heel and walking outside, the laughter of the girls following me out.
I endured endless amounts of teasing throughout the rest of our stay, but I did get one thing out of it:
My leather jacket smelled like Reyna.
Which honestly outweighed the cons.

FanfictionThis is a pair that should also be canon, even though it's kind of impossible. Mostly ignoring canon ToA. Some will be where Reyna is a hunter, praetor, or ex-praetor, sometimes Thalia will be a hunter or ex-hunter. CREDIT TO @anime_iz_my_life_ FOR...
