Chapter 9

"Lumayas ka dito! Hindi ka namin kailangan!"

Nagkalat sa terrace ang mga damit at iba pang gamit ni daddy. My mother bursted out probably because of the pain she was swallowing right now. She looks so pale and almost dead, her eyes were screaming grief and wrath.

"Niah please...don't do this to me... I love y-"

Napahawak ako sa braso ni Liam nang lumagapak ang malakas na sampal ni mommy kay daddy.

"Mom, please." Kuya Ethan tried to stop mommy. Kami ni Liam ay nakatayo lamang sa sulok ng terrace. I was crying, while Liam was just watching them with no emotions. Kilala ko siya. Lagi siyang umaakto na walang pakialam. But this scene was too much for us to handle.

"If you clearly love me, hindi ka maghahanap ng iba! You can't cheat on me if you love me!" Galit na galit si mommy habang dinuduro si daddy.

Hinila na ako ni Liam papasok ng bahay. Umupo na lang ako sa sofa at tinakpan ang tainga ko upang hindi na marinig ang sigawan nila sa labas. I can't help but to cry. I was crying and crying. Nang mangalay ako ay ibinaba ko na ang kamay ko at walang pakiaalam sa kung ano ang maririnig.

"I did e-everything...Ronald." I heard mom's tired voice and sobs. "Pinatunayan ko kung gaano kita kamahal...iginapang ko ang pagtratrabaho ko, lahat ng hirap at pagod ay ginawa ko...mapatunayan lang sa pamilya mo na hindi pera ang habol ko sayo..."

Sumikip ang dibdib ko nang marinig ang mga salitang 'yon na nanggagaling kay mommy. She was weeping while saying those words.

"P-paano mo nagawa..." Hindi maituloy ni mommy ang pagsasalita dahil sa sobrang pag-iyak. "Mahal na mahal kita e..."

"S-she seduced me..." Rinig 'kong pag-iyak ni daddy.

"Nagmamakaawa ako...Umalis ka nalang please," Pag-iyak pa ni mommy. "I'm setting you free...if you love that woman, then be with her!"

Lalong nanikip ang dibdib ko sa narinig. I covered my mouth so no one would hear my sobs. I carried Chin when she ran to me and tried to check on me.

"I'm ok, baby..." I talked with my dog. "Everything would be fine..."

I was looking forward na normal na away lang ito. Na maaayos rin nila, at babalik kami sa normal. They do fight before but their love was too much that it covers up anger. They compromise each other.

"Do you l-love her?" Nahihirapang tanong ni mommy.

"We've been together for 2 years and she's-"

"How!!" I saw my mother from our window fell down on her knees. She broke down and kept on crying while covering her face. Kuya Ethan helped mom to stand up.

Two years. Dad was cheating on us...for two whole years.

"Dalawang taon m-mo na'ko niloloko..." Mom sniffed. "Paano mo nagagawang yakapin ako, halikan ako, habang...habang pagkatalikod mo...may ibang babae ka na palang minamahal..."

I felt something that I never wanted to feel for my father. I felt so mad.

"Can you leave, dad? Please??" Singit ni kuya Ethan.

"Huwag mo akong sinasagot-sagot, Ethan." Kalmadong sabi ni daddy.

"I was trying so hard to stop myself from punching you so please leave." Kuya sounded sarcastic. I understand him for being mad, since I'm feeling the same.

Dad attempted to punch kuya Ethan but mom stood up between them.

"D-don't fucking touch my son."

Nahihirapan man si mommy, she gathered all of her courage to defend kuya. It was my first time hearing mom to curse. She was having mix of emotions. She's probably drowning in pain and anger, same as what we're feeling right now. Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala sa napapanood ko ngayon.
