"STEM? Mahirap yun ah! Ano nga kasi!"
I am trying to help Liam to decide on what strand is appropriate for him. Gusto niya daw maging engineer pero boplaks daw siya sa Math. That's not true! He was having his best on every subject.
"How about doctor? You want to be a doctor?" I asked again.
"Takot ako sa dugo! Baka nga makakita pa lang ako ng karayom mamatay na ko, 'e!" He answered hugging himself.
"Pilot? Yun na lang, you could-"
"Ayoko nga! May fear of heights ako, baka ako ang unang magsuka kesa-"
"Then don't stress me with your plans!" I shouted.
"Ibig sabihin ba 'non, wala akong pangarap?" Pagmamaktol niya na parang bata.
"No. You have dreams. Hindi pa nga lang maliwanag sa'yo yung mga gusto mong marating. But I'm sure you have a huge potential on your destined field. Lead yourself on the path that your heart chooses." I advised.
"Ang hirap naman gumawa desisyon," Liam sighed.
Sa totoo lang, mas matured pa akong mag isip kaysa kay Liam. He was so dependent with us, his family. He don't trust himself dahil akala niya ay kapag siya ang nag desisyon para sa sarili niya, ay magkakamali siya o maliligaw ng landas. That's why I had to push him and make him realize the things he was capable of.
Kinabukasan ay pumunta kami ng school para makapag enroll na. Thankfully, mom was available that day so she could help us enroll ourselves.
"ICT po," Alinlangan akong nginitian ni Liam. We're filling up the registration forms.
"But what about your father's dream for you to take military?" Kumunot ang noo ni mommy. "It's not that I'm also pushing you to take that. Gusto ko lang makasiguro, anak kung...sigurado ka na ba sa mga 'yan?"
"Natatakot ako kay dad, mi..." Liam bit his lower lip.
"I'm here okay? We'll keep it a secret." Mom winked. "My kids, mom is always here to support whatever you wanted to be."
My heart was tugged. Mabuti pa si mommy, naiintindihan ang mga gusto namin sa buhay. I love dad so much but I think it was kind of toxic for him to take away our freedom.
Pumasok ako sa loob ng kwarto ko para mag-paint. Painting and drawing are one of my favorite hobbies, so far. Mula palang kasi noong bata ako, ay mahilig na ako sa paglalaro ng mga kulay.
I just painted a simple dream scenery of London. Naisipan ko lang 'yon bigla kaya 'yon ang inisketch ko. Fantasy is usually the genre of my art. I paint scenes, princesses, and anything that looks magical.

"HOLY SHIT!"
Nataranta ako nang makita kung anong oras na. Tumakbo agad ako palabas para katukin si Liam.
"Liam! Wake up! It's the first day of school and late na tayo!" I was knocking so loud at his door.
I brushed my teeth and took a shower. I was cramming by the whole time and took a pack of cereal from the kitchen. Naka bihis na din si Liam nang matapos ako.
"I'm so sorry, late na din ako nagising and-"
"No need to apologize kuya, just d-drive as fast as you can, but safely!" I said while coming inside the car. I was fixing my stuffs and hindi pa ako nakakapagsuklay! My eyes still badly want to close.
We arrive at our school safely. Muntik ko pang makalimutan na SHS na nga pala ako kaya ibang gate na ang dadaanan ko.
