Missy: Hi guys! Half day daw bukas!!!!

My mouth formed an 'o' with Missy's message on our group chat. Naka upo lang ako ngayon sa study chair ko at nagpapalipas ng oras. Maya-maya ay mag preprepare pa ako ng dinner because I just want Liam to rest. He seems so tired and almost sick.

Luis: Weh? Di'ba fake news yan?

Jiro: San mo nasagap 'yan?

Missy: Stupid! Check nyo yung latest post ng school page

I checked the page and it states there that it would only be half day of classes tomorrow because of teacher's seminary.

I told Liam to skip school tomorrow since it would only be half day. Tumatanggi pa sya but I insisted. Sinisipon kasi siya at buti na lang, hindi naman siya nilalagnat.

"Wala naman akong sakit, April! Wag ka ngang OA!" Sigaw ni Liam habang iniiwas ang mukha niya sa pot of hot water na inihanda ko. I'm forcing him to steam.

"Sabi ni mommy, makakatulong daw 'toh kapag sinisipon! Igaganon mo lang yung mukha mo oh!" Itinapat ko ang mukha ko sa pot, for him to mimic.

"Oo na!" He rolled his eyes and gestured for me to go out.

I went out of Liam's room and saw kuya at the dining table, preparing the foods he bought at the convenience store.

"I was about to cook." I said.

"No, you should rest. Kaya nga dinaanan ko na 'toh saglit." Kuya answered while fixing the plates. "If there's someone who's obligated to do chores in this house, then it's me."

It touched my heart.

"No kuya, all of us should. Hindi lang ikaw. We're also part of this family." I said and gave kuya an assurance smile. "Hindi namin ibibigay lahat ng trabaho sa'yo, okay? So next time...let us do our responsibilities."

Pagkatapos ay tinawag na namin si Liam para sabay-sabay na kaming kumain. Mom isn't around because of work. We told her that there's nothing wrong if she wants to take a rest of everything but she said that she can do it as long as she knows that we're fine.

Kinabukasan ay mag-isa lang akong nag-commute dahil nga hindi na pumasok si Liam. Kuya have no classes today so it's a coincidence for him to take care of Liam.

After the half day classes, nag-aya si Aira na doon nalang raw kami sa kanila mag lunch since ang school na pinapasukan niya ay wala ring pasok the whole day.

"Lianne!" Tita Arha greeted. She's Aira's mom. I kissed her cheeks and she also greeted Missy and Erin.

Missy and Erin already sat at the couch with Aira while I continued talking to tita Arha. We were standing at their hallway dahil mukhang paalis siya.

"Its been a while since I saw you! How's your mom?" Tita Arha asked. She, and mommy were bestfriends since they were on college.

"She is...doing fine." I said, not knowing how to answer that question. "I thought you were having communications with each other po?"

"She just knew that we came back here at Philippines, yet we never meet or even see each other." She laughed. "Both of us were busy at work and organizing our family."

"I see... But I hope both of you would see each other again po." I smiled sweetly.

"Me too! It was nice seeing you again, Lianne. I have to go." She said and turned to Aira. "Enjoy bonding with the girls honey."

Umupo na rin ako sa tabi nina Erin. Aira's house was enormous that it almost looked like a castle. Their helpers served lemon juice and cookies on the study table.
