Chapter 27 : Midnight Dance

Asch's POV

I was still flying in my dreams.

Until....

A move of my head and a sound of a open door woke me up. I opened my eyes and found Yue was nowhere to be found.

Seems like she had left for late night patrol....

I got up from bed with the jacket in my grip , walked towards the balcony,  admiring this astonishing night scenery.

The blue moon was now in crescent shape and the whole world where the moonlight touches turns blue.

Among the tree , there's a figure jumping from a tree to the other until she made her destination....

The waltz house.....

I phased to a window nearby and found she just sat on a stair step while staring the dance floor that's shined by the blue moonlight.

She soon stood up with her sword leaning on a stair step. She stand under the moonlight and-

Did she just danced?

She was imagining dancing with a partner?

She seems enjoyable....

I phased into the house beneath the shadows,getting a closer view. Her hair flicked gorgeously as she spins.

I can't believe she would had the imagination of dancing....

What if....

I phased right behind her back and she bumped into my arms at the mean time.

"Asch!? What are you- Are you actually-" I leaned down , whispered into her ear while tying up my jacket around her waist.

"That's not how the dance work. Do I need to teach you?" I leaned back up with my hand reached out.

"Yes.... I'm gonna be so appreciate to have this dance with you....your majesty." She bowed and put her skinny fingers on mine.

And the music starts....

Second person's POV

Tale as old as time
True as it can be

Asch snaked his arm around her waist  which gave Yue a shiver. He pulled her closer into his chest and whispered in her ears.

"Relax.... It's me who you're dancing with..."

Yue exhaled her nervous breath and gave his majesty a confident smile.

Barely even friends
Then somebody bends
Unexpectedly

Asch hold her hand and Yue grabbed his arm slowly. Asch start moved and Yue quickly looked down to prevent stepping on his majesty's feet.

Asch lifted her head up and Yue stared at his black eyes. "I don't mind you step on my feet , I had already scraped my knee for you , just waiting for you to heal me."Yue giggled at his pick up line.

"Shut up and dance with me , Princey." Yue grabbed his arm and pulled him closer. Or...maybe too close.

Their lips were just inches away. The general looked away from the prince with a face of blush. Asch gave his princess a smirk and did a underarm twirl.

The blue moon was about to disappear after hours left but it would love to shine this 2 night dance partners. Fairies of Enchantia heard the astonishing music and flew to the waltz glass house.

Through the glass , around the wooden walls of the house , they're watching the 2 demons doing natural turns on the dance floor. Some fairies with quite high amount of fashion taste doesn't agree such outfit on a dance floor.

They flew towards them and spinned around with a trail of glitter. The dance partners suddenly stopped when they saw such phenomena.

From her scarf to a illusion neckline , from her torn sleeve shirt and black tight pants with Asch's leather jacket to a dress with layers of red rose shaped laces and from her knight knee length heels to black court shoes. A tudor rose flower crown was crowned on her head.

From his red and black strip under shirt to a white dress shirt and a black vest with a bow tie and a black tuxedo jacket , from his ripped jeans to a black trousers , from his red and black shoes to a pair of leather shoes. His earrings were replaced with silver ones.

Fairies invited fireflies to join the dance , bringing some romantic tastes too the empty waltz room.

They looked at each other and giggled while set back in position.

"Shall we proceed?""Yes ,your highness."Yue smiled as she falls and rises with Asch's strong grip.

Tale as old as time
Tune as old as song
Bittersweet and strange

Learning you were wrong

"Is this the first time since I watched you wearing a gown?""It's the first time since I saw you wearing such outfit."answered Yue while they do a reverse turn.

As she turned and leaned on Asch's chest , she touched his warm right cheek while he hold her hips and placed a kiss on her neck.

She giggled for the ticklish feel on her neck and faced back his highness , snake her arms on his neck while doing some natural turns on the blue dance floor.

Asch suddenly lift her up from the ground and did a turn. Yue enjoyed this a lot and this makes her spill out some laughter. As her feet met the ground , she leaned on Asch's chest , feeling his heartbeat.

"What are you doing Princess?"asked Asch while did a fall with his princess. "Hearing my prince's heartbeat , can't I?"said Yue with a smirk as Asch pulled her back up.

She did a turn , facing her Prince while catching her breath back. She bowed after her dance partner while his highness did so.

Right they bowed , everything disappeared....The princess....The prince....The fairies....The fireflies.... The moon...

It had turned back its actual colour , yellow. In crescent shape.

Yue walked towards her dance partner , revealing her bronze earrings. She looked at her confused or stunned prince.

Asch's POV

"You should take some rest , Asch. Tomorrow's a long day." She said while walked out of the waltz house.

I spotted her spirit Midnight at the darkest corner of the house. He crawled towards me and formed back into his human form.

"Listen up , Prince of Daemos. Her life was connected to my spinal cord. If anything happen to her , you're. So. Dead." He growled and flew back to the shared chamber as he ran out of the house and jumped.

As I returned to my shared chamber,  I found the spirit in the general's arms , hissed as a warning.

I sighed for his childish and overly protective action and head to slumber for the big day that Yue mentioned....
