Chapter 7 : A Smile From Her Shadow

Rhys' POV

"Haha!!!""Leif! I'm serious!""Serious? Serious about what? The joke you just make?!"Can't believe that Leif thinks that I'm making a joke this time...."I agree. How come-"Not you too ,Noi! "It's real! I literally saw her shadow smiling!""Have you seen shadows smiles? Cause I don't. And stop making out these nonsense, Rhys. You should be thinking of what comes next.""Prince Asch-""Enough!"Soon , he stood up from his throne and walked away,leaving me with the others.

Soon , everyone left...expect me and Pierce."You know...you can just think I'm going nuts of a-""I believe you."As I was going to give up of being suspicious of Yue , Pierce....did he just said that he believe me?"Wait what?" "She somehow knows the area of the palace. In one day. She can literally run away from me and hid somewhere that I literally can't find her. Which means....""Maybe she already knows the location of Prince Asch's chamber."

He sighed and agree with my thoughts. "What about the smile of her shadow? Could you elaborate the situation?"I sighed with my hands on my waist."Well....."

The 'Sun' was just so bright which makes me looked onto the ground to take a break from it. The moment when I looked down , Yue was just right in front of me. Her shadow was just right in front of my eyes.

I can see that moment clearly.....Her shadow appeared to not be the actual person....Long hair ,perfect horns and her eyes bent upwards and her mouth curved....Her shadow was literally smiling at me....But here's the thing.... who is she?...why does she looks so different to the actual person?....And the fact she's a Dargon...why does her shadow reveal her as a Daemos?....

*Flashback ends*

"Her? A Daemos?""Yes.I was thinking..."I put my hand on my chin , making up my mind."Speak out your thoughts.""What if she's one of a unknown survivor from the Dargon war last 5 years ago?"Pierce's eyes widen and shook his head."Rhys. Not to mention that you know what does a Dargon use for a living. About this thought of a Daemos survive from this....I don't think so."I put my hand down and cross them together.

"Noi. What's with the surrounding in front of Ava's chamber?""Shush. The Dargon was going to use sound magic."Yue? Sound magic?I managed to squeeze to the front , where I can see into the chamber. "A-Ava , I'm really bad at it." "Come on ,Yue. You don't even know, how you know if you can?"said Ava while putting something like a helmet onto Yue's head. After swiping her magic slab , she told Yue that she can either listen or hum the song that she'll play.

From tapping the table , humming softly , relaxing herself to singing a full song.

My eyes widen and I rubbed them to make sure that there's no problem of it......Did her shadow just turned into flesh?! The shadow.....she's leaning against the wall , looking at Yue with mother smile....She saw me...And gave me one as well....And disappear.....

"Ava?What's with that look on your face?"asked Yue. She turned back and spotted us spying on her using sound magic.Her face turned bright red and crossed her arms."W-What are you guys doing there?""Yue , that's amazing!"said Ava , wrapped her arms around her waist."Nah....It's the first time."She scratched her head.

"Scam out.""Tsk whatever."While she passed through a small gap between Asch and Leif , a spark happen when the black pendant necklace on her wrist and Asch's white pendant necklace connect to each other.Hold on.....She didn't ask for the necklace back?!....That's odd....

When I got back to the library, I found my desk was messed up...The stacked books are all fallen into piles... The only that didn't change was the spell book on the book stand on the table.I got there and found the page appeared in my blue eyes was about the Mirror of Truth....Which gives the ability to make out the truth self of the person whoever looks into things with the property of reflection like water. But....who need this?.....

So.....he saw me....Finally some Daemos saw me...I disappear and leaving myself in a dusty library. Found the spell book on a book holder , memorizing the spell of the mirror , everything stopped when a creak of the door happen. I immediately ran out through a dark corner of the library , back to darkness business......
