The smell of Luna's perfume lingered in the car as I was driving her home. Usually I hated it when my victims did that but her's was fresh and easy to breathe. Even satisfying to smell. Of course the thought of taking Luna home with me passed my mind but I quickly swatted it out. It would be immature to catch feelings for someone I had only known for a week or so. But when Luna shifted to her side, hiding her face with the luscious locks of curled hair something in me wanted to touch it. To wrap a strand of it in between my fingers, but since I was busy, I suppressed it.

A few minutes later and I had finally got to her house. I didn't want to look suspicious or be connected to her in this way so I parked a little further away. Then once again, as I walked towards Luna's side of the car the same thought of staying with her came again. But quickly rushed away when my nerves got shocked with Luna almost spilling out of the car with the seat belt catching her. It made me panic a little because it would look a weird that she almost fell without waking up but with a look around I simply pretended it didn't happen, and unbuckled her to carry her body inside, bridal style. She laid her head on my shoulder while I reached in her pocket to get the keys. The walk to the door was brief but that didn't stop the neighbors from gossiping. I even saw a woman and man standing outside, whispering. But since they were smiling I assume they thought I was her boyfriend. Flattered, I smiled back.

Then once I got to her front door, the scent of her perfume and body wash invaded my nose. Making my night in just one inhale. I wished I could smell it longer but it was getting late and the both of us had to get some rest. I closed the door behind me and placed Luna on the couch for a little, while I on the other hand, went to go check if the windows were locked. Only to find that the window in her room was unlocked, I got a little irritated at that and locked it 'does she really not care about her safety?' Once I finished that I also put the file on the night stand. But on my way back to the living room I heard a footstep and tensed up. Was there someone in the house trying to get to her? I stood in the hallway for a bit before carefully walking to the kitchen. Out of no where Luna stepped out with a glass of water in her hand.

"Ughh.. fuck.." I whispered to myself before sitting up. There was a pain in my neck but I didn't know why. 'Did a spider bite me or something?' I thought before I reached up to feel a dried blood mark. My eyes widened as I quickly remembered what happened. How I was tied up, how Tanner talked to me, how close he got, and basically how I was talked down to for five minutes. I was gonna get annoyed when I remembered the file. A pit of joy hit my stomach. 'Finally! I was gonna catch Sarah's killer!' My happy mood rang, but quickly died down. 'I bet it didn't come without a cost.. what could he possibly want?' I looked down to see my tank top and shorts. "Did he.." I lifted up my shirt to see if my panties were there, they were but he could've still done it.. I felt sick and the urge to throw up came to me like a breeze. To cool down I got up and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. Filling it up halfway and tilting the cup up to drink. But when the house went silent I managed to hear a creek. I stopped and turned on my heels to see who it was. But the old house made a sound. Creeeeeeek. I closed my eyes in cringe. 'What the hell floorboards?!'

It went silent again, before I heard more footsteps come closer. I decided to be brave and walk over myself. Then I took a final inhale and turned the corner. Only to see a creepy, smiling down Tanner. I got goosebumps but stuck my ground. "Tanner? Wha- what the hell are you doing here?" I had thought he would've left the scene of the crime (kidnapping.) But Tanner was quick to break the silence, "Hey Luna. Sorry, but you can't really stay awake for this part..." Out of no where Tanner grabbed me by the side of the neck and tried injecting the needle. Luckily I knew what was coming so I stopped his right hand in the middle while trying to get his other off my neck. "Get the hell off me Tanner!" "It'll be less painful if you just calm down." "No! I said get off!" My hands were getting nowhere so I tried kicking his feet to push him down when he did me in return. Making me lose my balance and stumble back to the floor. He was quick and got on top of me with his needle almost grazing my skin. Thank god I stopped it just in time with both my hands reaching up to stop his one. "T-Tanner please st-." Without a second thought Tanner bit down on my forearm. It bled for a second but that was enough to make me let go. After I was done screaming, Tanner got out of my arm with a smile. Cheek to cheek. Then he licked his lips before injecting me and saying in a happy chirper tone.
