Blind spots

|LUNA'S POV|

I was in a car driving with a man, I couldn't tell who it was. I looked outside to see trees covered by shadows. It was night and seemingly getting more creepy as we went along. "W-where are we?" I looked to the man who had a convenient shadow over his face. "Shh, we're almost there.." I tried to reach out to the gear shift to stop the car but I couldn't. As I looked down I saw I was tied up. I kept moving, trying to wiggle out of the rope. "It's no use, so just be a nice pet and stay still." I exhaled, it was cold. "LET ME GO GODAMN IT," I was close to losing all my shit when he slammed my head to the dashboard, I felt blood come from my head coming down to my eyes. Then all I hear while I'm slowly fainting is a familiar Tehe laugh.  

I sit up with a scream, and looks around hugging my face. I was in the guest room. 'It was all just a damn dream, calm down' I hug myself to notice I was in an oversized dress shirt. 'The hell?' "And why would you be screaming Luna?" I hear a voice say from the couch "You were here the whole time?" I scoff, trying to catch my breath and calm down from the adrenaline rush. "Of course, but you didn't answer me." He peered over his shoulder "I-I just had a nightmare, that's all."  He stood up and came over to the bed "mhm but about what? I'm curious."

'Why did he always have to talk like that smooth yet unsettling.'

"I don't remember." He could tell I was lying. "Oh cmon Luna, that's no way to treat someone who has been kind to you. Besides I won't judge." He laid back onto the bed in front of me. "Uh..well... I was in a car, it was night and when I asked the person driving where we were going he slammed my head into the dashboard and laughed." He licked his lips. 'Ugh, of course he liked it' "who was driving?"

"I couldn't tell." He flips over to his side and grabbed the back of my neck rough. It all happened so fast I had a late reaction. "Now don't lie to me again, it's very..." he squeezed the sheets between his knuckles "...Very... Rude." He tilted his head as a gasp left my mouth as I told him. "You." I brassed from a hit. A hit that never came I peeked my eye open. "Who hurt you?" His smile turned to a look of what I could only describe as a tough love look of concern.

"Wha-." He interrupted "You heard me."
"N-No one." "Then why do you always look so sad?"
My face showed my confusion. "Your eyes.." he was caressing my cheek at this point and gently move to my lips. "...you're mouth... they always seem to be in some ...state of grief." I nudged his hand away,  I was embarrassed. He was right. "I'm here Luna. Wether you like it or not. So Stop pushing me away." At that moment I had forgotten he was a criminal. Someone that I would have put away or had been filing paper work on. My eyes teared up. "I just want to be alone..." I looked at him finally making eye contact of my own. He didn't scare me anymore "..Why does everyone go away?.."

He started tearing up as well, I don't know how I feel looking at him without his usual smile on. He pulled me close into a hug. " I finally understand you Luna. But don't worry..." his voice started to break a bit "w-We'll be f-fine. it'll all be...Fine."

We sat there for the next few minutes, but he fell asleep hugging me. His grip was as tight as ever, I couldn't sleep so I started playing with his hair. He didn't seem to mind, maybe because he was asleep. He was really concerned about his looks. Not shallow but he wanted to look his best all the time.

His phone was in his pocket when it rang. I shook him a little before he woke up. "Your phone." He looked at it and sat up answering "hello?" I couldn't hear what was happening 'Maybe it's his quote unquote job.' "I'll be there." He hung up, "I gotta go do something at my lab. I'll be back."
I nodded, he kept looking at me though... "what? Is something wrong?" He grabbed my neck and I felt a sting. "Sorry dear but I can't leave you here alone...it would be premature."

I fell to the bed. Passing out. That damn needle.
