Reunion

|LUNA'S POV|

I was in the woods. Surrounded by people who hung themselves on the trees. But they weren't sad. They were teasing me with their smiles. I kept walking forward. Trying not to look at them. When in the corner of my eye I saw some green shoes, dangling.
I looked to see if my assumption was true. And sadly it was. Anna was hanging there. Holding Hands with Oliver.. I fell back in shock. My heart beat speeding up. I backed up into a pair off feet. Before I saw it was Tanner he put a noose around my neck. "Tanner what the hell?!" He was silent. He had a noose on too and when I looked over to him I noticed everyone I knew was hanging. Smiling as if they were happy. "We're going to be ascending soon Luna." He threw up the rope to the sky. The rope started pulling me up slowly with him. I was moving trying to get out of it, I reached for Tanner and he patted my cheek. "We'll be alright." I suffocated slowly.

'Another bastardly dream' I woke up in the same clothes from before but back in Tanner's house. I got
Up and went to the hallway. "Tanner?!" He came out into the hall and ran towards me, lifting me up and spinning with joy. He hugged me close, "Luna! I missed you." I hugged him back and started tearing up. He put me on the ground and cupped my cheeks.
Whispering with happy tears and a smile "I thought I-I had lost you..." I shook my head, wiping the tears away. "I guess...I just couldn't pass up seeing the stars that night." He chuckled. "You heard me When I said that?" I nodded, and dug my face into his chest. We stood there hugging when he lifted his hand he noticed blood come from the cuts. "I gotta change your bandages." He carried me to the bed and got out the supplies. I laid on my side facing him as he carefully took off the bandages. It was painful but not as much as when I got them. My phone rang and I answered while he concentrated on the cut. "Hello?" "Heyyy sunshine. How are you kiddo?" It was my dad. "Hey dad, I'm good what about you and mom?" Tanner was finishing up and sat beside me. Listening in, "we're good but you know how it's your moms birthday in 2 days so..I think it would be a nice surprise for you to come over for the weekend."
Tanner smirked. I nervously chuckled. "Sure why Not?" "Great see you in 2 days, love you pumpkin."
"Love you too bye." I set my phone to the side.
"So I'm gonna meet your parents huh?" I rolled my eyes playfully and nudged his shoulder "Shut up. Stop making that stupid face at me." We both laughed. "I mean it would be nice to meet the people you call parents. They're probably better than mine." He snickered. "Yea but what about the cuts? And they don't know you and I are a thing." "It'll just be another surprise and you could say they were from work." I thought it over. Nothing bad could happen right? Surely not. "Alright, but it's going to be a 2 hour drive to the next city. He shrugged "fair enough."

I smiled and hugged his head bringing him close to me. I sighed on his neck, he smelled nice. I kissed his cheek before saying those 3 damn words again. "I love you Tanner." He said them back but I still wonder. 'Are they genuine?' I pulled him by his collar and gave him a kiss. I wanted to know if it was true or if he was just saying things I wanted to hear. He took a little before he kissed me back, holding my face in his hands. He hesitated... I pulled away and put on a smile. "We should start packing for the trip." He playfully rolled his eyes, and got up "oh alright, but how long are we going to be there?" "Maybe just 2-3 days. I don't talk to my family much so, not long." "Alright." We started packing the clothes we were going to wear when I asked.

"What happened to your parents?" "I actually haven't seen them since they left, why?."

'Should I tell him what happened? Or should I just stay quiet about it?' I decided to stay quiet. "Oh nothing I was just curious." He nodded and dropped his clothes in his luggage, grabbing my hand and leading me away. "That reminded me! I have a surprise for you!" He led me to the basement as we walked to a room that was locked. "What is it?"
"You'll see." He opened it and I saw a man in a chair. Duct taped at the mouth and tied to the chair. "Wh-who's that?" He smiled at me in the creepy way. "He's the man who almost took you away, he's also the man who killed Sarah..." the blue blood killer... but he didn't try to kill me. His parents did... I'm so confused. I gasped as I walked back into Tanner. He grabbed my shoulder and bent down. Showing his hand in front of my face. It had my clear knife. "Take it." I was terrified of him. He killed my Sarah. I whimpered and stuttering I've my words. "T-Tanner... I c-can't.. let me out now... please."
He wasn't expecting that answer, as if I was some manic with a passion for killing. I clenched his jacket and repeated myself.

|TANNER'S POV|

Luna showed signs of actually being scared. But why? Why did this man scare her? Yea he killed her cousin but that should only make her more determined on killing him. Besides he tried killing her too. It didn't make sense. I put the knife in my pocket and let go of her shoulders. I grabbed the cigarettes in my pocket and lit one. When I had to blow out the smoke I did it in his face to wake him up. Luna kept watch from a safe point behind me. Once he woke up he tried to speak but the duct tape kept him shut. "So..your really the blue blood killer huh?" I sighed and put my hands on his shoulders, putting my right hand up to inhale the cigarette. I took off the tape. "Who are you? Another guy trying to turn me into the feds?" I laughed "no I can assure you I'm not that type of person. At least not now with the feds already here." I looked at Luna but she was uneasy. "Her? She's not that scary looking. Hell she's even cowering." He rolled his eyes. "Look I'll pay you what you want but let me go before I stop being so nice." I pinched his shoulder with my hand and threw the cigarette on the floor to put it out. "You don't seem to get it..."

I grabbed the knife and put it to his throat. "You don't get to go so easy." My voice was rough, Luna finally made eye contact with him. "Woah woah there buddy, you don't want to do that now I work for a very powerful guy." "Oh yea? Who?" "Adam! and he will make sure you aren't alive tomorrow" I laughed as I slit his throat "Adam is the one who sold you out..." he was shaking. Twitching even before he finally left. Gone forever. I like the light as it just vanishes to who knows where.

"You really did it huh?.." I dropped the knife and walked to Luna. Placing her head to my chest "I told you it would be fine, you got to learn to trust me more." "I do it's just... I don't know." She was still scared of dying, it's a natural human fear but it should only occur in danger. But I could feel her heartbeat on mine. It's fast and it's trying to slow down. I bent down on a knee. "Luna.." I grabbed the side of her face "I will always be here for you... I will do anything for you. And that's a promise." She wiped her tears away and nodded.

Even when she's quiet, even if the room is silent. It still means the world for me to be here with her.

I patted her head and got up to leave. She stood there for a while looking at him. "Yea don't look, it's not pretty." It took a minute but she went closer to him. 'What is she doing?' She touched the blood and looked at me. I stood there arms crossed, my interest was peaked. She played with the blood. "You really eat this stuff?" "Yea what's the big deal?" "It's a little weird, like doesn't it taste bad?" I shook my head walked to them, picking up some blood of my own. "It tastes metallic sometimes but other times it tastes normal and for you... more on the sugary side." I smirked as she stuck her finger in my mouth. I cleaned it. "And what about him?" She took out her finger and wiped it on her medical dress. 'I need to get her some clothes...' "metallic and sour." She picked up another drop of blood. "Really?" She licked it, the taste not hitting until a few seconds later. "Yea your right, metallic." We both laughed, as if someone just told a funny joke. When we were done we walked back up. We packed our clothes and turned on the TV in her room. We sat down at the sofa when we were done. Tomorrow we had to leave so might as well relax now.

She was between my legs laying her head on my stomach. I had wrapped her with my left leg on her stomach so she couldn't leave but she didn't seem to mind. I was playing with her hair. We eventually fell asleep.

When I woke up she was in the shower. I walked over 'should I?' I walked in and saw the bathroom was steamy. She was just standing there. Letting the water hit her face and body. Her hair covering her face while she hugged herself. I undressed and got in with her. I guess she didn't hear me when I hugged her from behind. My hair failing to the water. I wrapped my arms around her, she flinched a little. Then relaxed when she knew it was me. She turned around and fell into my arms. I gave her a kiss, she got onto her toes and kissed me back.
