MY LUNA- Scrutinized [TANNERxLUNA]

The Aftermath pt.2

10 MONTHS LATER

|LUNA'S POV|

It had been months since it all went down. I regained some memories while others are fuzzy. But that didn't matter, I was happy with Tanner and my new found life. We lived together in his house, Oliver and Anna were happy I was ok. Anna made sure to come over almost every weekend to check up on me and have a night out. We all would go to a restaurant, order food then leave. It was nice. Adam secured my spot on their team and I quit my job after handing them the file. I told them I needed time to think.

My dad and mom finally accepted Tanner, they called him son and all that jazz. But tonight I'm going to another function for Adam. I don't know why but I have a funny feeling something weird is going on. Tanner is acting more on edge, Oliver and Anna keep giving me this look.

And that leads us to now. We're in the car driving to the place. We carpooled with the Niors. It was fancy again so I was wearing a navy blue silk dress, with a slit on the side of my leg. I adored it, somewhat more than the others. Tanner even changed his tie to match. Once we got there a lot of people were sitting. Adam waved us over from across the ball floor. "Good evening Luna, Tanner." "Good evening Adam." I said, I was like a butter to a pan with Adam. I was still on edge and made sure to respect him. Tanner shook his hand as Adam told him the back was ready. He gave me a warm smile before Tanner led me to the back. It was a nice garden area. The flowers were beautiful, like they were just planted. "Ya know Luna." I looked at him while we stood in front of the balcony next to the fountain facing the moon. "I know this is going to sound cheesy but I couldn't really find anything else to say so..."

'Is he..' "I loved you ever since I saw you, you were just the one. Heh, I even stalked you for a while... but what I'm trying to say is.. will you.." He knelt down and i cuffed my face, happy tears rolled down as he finally said the words "will you ....Marry me?"
I hugged him screaming yes! I kissed him and he hugged me back, he laughed as he put on the ring.
Anna and Oliver came out cheering with the others. Lydia was proud, she was kind of a mom figure...in a way... Anna hugged me and almost lifted me up. We spent the whole night celebrating.

6 months Later

It was the night before the wedding, when I had another dream. I was back in my parents house, I was wearing a patient uniform front he hospital. I walked through the house as I heard beeping from what sounded like a heart monitor. I walked to the dining room, Tanner and my parents were there. Out of no where I heard the monitor stop. The beeping echoing in my head as I pushed forward. My mom was screaming as Tanner was shaking something on the floor. My dad was yelling into the phone. But what was happening? I got closer and noticed blood on the floor. They didn't seem to notice I was there. When I was finally facing them I saw my lifeless body resting on Tanner. His face was mortified, "L-Luna, wake up! This isn't funny. Luna!" My head fell onto the floor, as my body followed, limp. His hands shook as he reached out to me. Picking me up in his arms. "Luna.. p-please.." the paramedics came in and got me off him immediately. While that was happening Tanner got out away with his parents. I didn't see my body anymore but I knew it was in the ambulance when I heard the heart monitor start up again. Beeping as loud as ever.

Ya know, in some cultures, people say that dead loved ones watch over the living. I got into the car with Tanner and sat there. He looked awful, I placed my hand on his and he flinched. Like i was a ghost.

When I woke up I couldn't tell if that was a nightmare or dream. Either way I was happy to wake up next to him again. He hugged me and kissed my forehead "Good morning love." I giggled "Good morning, messy hair." I scruffed it up, we laughed as he tried fixing it. "Are you excited for today?"
"Why wouldn't I be.." he tackled me tot eh mattress "I'm marrying the most perfect person, in the world." We kissed as Anna and Oliver let themselves in. She was my main bridesmaid, so naturally she was like the planner. "Nuhuh you two, we have stuff to do today." Tanner sighed as I tried holding in my laugh. He got off and pushed the bed sheets away. He was wearing a shirt with sweatpants so nothing bad like boxers in front of Anna and Oliver. While I was in a night dress. It was flowing in the wind front he left open window. I bet I looked like a cloud...
