|TANNER'S POV|

'My father...that son of a bitch. WHAT WAS HE DOING HERE.' Luna was oblivious, lucky her. She didn't know who this man was. "Why so glum Tanner? I thought you would be more happy to see your father." "Father?" I was clutching Luna's hand.
"Where's mom?" She wasn't in the car so maybe he left her, or killed her. They both had a temper so it wouldn't surprise me. "She's at home with Cecilia."

Luna stayed quiet when my father looked at her through the mirror. "She's new, name?" "Oh uh, I'm Luna. It's nice to meet you sir." She smiled at him as he just blew her off. "Rude..." I said it under my breath but he heard me, "excuse me?" He started the car. "I didn't think that I would have to say it but you're gonna have to be more respectful to Luna."
"No, Tanner it's fine." He scowled at me. "Right, my apologies Luna." He looked at her with a look I couldn't explain. My grip brought her closer. As we were now on the highway, heading to my house.
"I've heard that you have been working for Adam for a couple of years now, is that true?"

"Yes, he pays me well and we have developed a friendship. Why do you ask?" "I'm just making conversation." We were a minute away. Then we were there. "Alright let's go see your mother." I helped Luna out and held her hand the whole time. We walked up to the porch and I opened the door. My mother came from upstairs and hugged me "Oh My babyyy." I just patted her back a little as she let go. She looked at Luna "oh...you brought someone home... how nice." She held her hand out and Luna shook it "Hi...I'm Cassandra. Tanners mother but you can call me mam." Sh faked smiles as Luna introduced herself. More kindly might I add.

Cecilia nervously peaked the corner "The dinner is ready Mam." We were walking to the table when Alina and I sat down. My mother out of no where grabbed her chin and lifted it up, examining her face and clothes. "A bit dull, So what are you? A badly dressed prostitute?"  we were in shock while my dad chuckled She dropped her chin and kept walking, when she reached her seat she looked at me to say one more thing. With a big smile on "you could do better Tanner." Luna was embarrassed, but why 'she's the most beautiful girl, and humble. She has no need to be embarrassed or feel less than.'

"I wouldn't talk to her like that. She's a very important person to me. So Back off." My hands turned to fists on the table, Luna patted it while My mother was stunned and Father was too. "Young man will not talk to us that way. Now I'll be back." She got up and left for a few minutes, Luna, my father and I ate in silence. When my mother came back she was now wearing something different.
"Just wanted to freshen up, and look..." she glared down at Luna "presentable." She ate and when we're done we put the plates in the sink. Luna chose to wash them as a way to show how kind she was.

We waited on the patio. My father excused himself and went back inside. My mother and I sat there waiting for the 2 of them "may I ask why are you being rude to Luna? Or better yet, why you're here?" "We wanted to see you and because I felt you could do better." She smiled...

|LUNA'S POV|

I finished washing the plates and heard a thump. "Cecilia? Are you ok?" No one answered. I walked up the stairs to the sound. "Cecilia?" Again no answer I ran through all the rooms "Cecilia?!" My nerves already fired up, so much was happening at once when it all came crashing down... Cecilia was there. I finally found her. Dead... stabbed multiple times. Through the ribs and chin... I was going to scream when a hand covered my mouth. I thrashed around as the hand was rough. I could tell it wasn't Tanner. I tried kicking when he overpowered me and threw me to her bed, I was practically next to her dead body. I let out a scream but he covered my mouth after it. Flashbacks to John came back. I started to cry and yell through his hand. It was like I was being tortured. "Shhh, if Tanner hears us he'll have a fit... now stand still."I looked to the side and saw he was going to do something Jeffery Dahmer did to his victims.

He was going to Drill my head and pour acid down it, to make me a zombie sex doll. I screamed louder, and made sure to move as much as possible. He reached for the drill when the door was slammed open. I screamed as loud as ever, but it was still muffled. Thank god they could see what was happening. Then I heard a laugh come from Tanners mom. 'This woman is a bitch.' "Get off her now..."
Tanner was staring at the floor, fists clenched. "Oh cmon, she's having fun." He walked towards his dad "I SAID GET OFF MY LUNA." He threw his dad off, when he noticed Cecilia's dead body. I got up and immediately went to Cecilia, 'maybe she was still alive?! Please be alive' I thought while Tanner was in shock. He scoffed "Get out." His parents chuckled in the doorway. "Alright, see you later son." They left, closing the door when behind them. I laid on Cecilia, crying. She was gone.

Tanner sat down next to me and started crying. We sat there for a long while. This was the only time we could grieve. He reached out to me and I turned, hugging him from behind. Wrapping my legs around his waist and resting my head on his back. "Are you ok Luna?" "Don't worry about it, I'm fine." "Don't say that! You can't say that when I could've lost you too." "But you didn't im still here." "Yea but I could've lost you like Cecilia." A tear dropped from my cheek. "I'm sorry..." "why are you sorry?"

'Why was I sorry? I felt to blame for something out of my control... but if I didn't make Tanners mom mad none of this would've happened... Cecilia would have been alive right now.'

"You didn't kill her. You don't have anything to be sorry about. I'm happy you're here. I'm happy you're ok. So please don't say you're sorry." He felt me nod on his back and he grabbed onto my arm and kissed my hand. "We have to burn the body downstairs... you're gonna have to help me carry it, but before We do that I have to make a call."
