Captured in mind,
A reality painted picture.
Very still and in action,
It was painted as such.
That the wind blew
The dried leaves out
And they flew in the air
Like a floating boat-
Smooth and breezily
Descending then, upon the ground
And then the wind blew again
Like wielding a spell
Making them dance
Mid-air in a circus.
My mind too entranced,
Captured in its memory
Said to me, "Autumn is here."
Wrap your shawl,
Let's feel the blanket of leaves
As it goes around and past you,
Resting and crusting under
And about your feet,
Falling on the grass green
With its sunset deep red hearts
And some browns and goldens,
Forming a beautiful image
Of a reality painted picture.-S. A. Khan
