I did not answer her. Henry has ultrasonic hearing. I don't want him to hear nor know that I am seeing him the way he's seeing me. The perfect time will come. And that time is not today or tomorrow.

"Why are you keeping it from him?" I heard her asked again. My aunt is a bit furious at my attitude. She is so concern about what I feel for him right now. And why is that, huh?

"What is the role of pure vampire blood here? Especially, what is it have to do with me?"

I saw Darius show himself from the back of the house. He is heading to the parking. Then, Grant Jackson in his white suit, sprinted from the main door. He waved his hand and called for me.

"I'll be back. His grandfather is leaving."

"'Kay, just stay there for a couple of days, my sweet. You'll be fine." My aunt sighed. I'm sure she felt relieved when I cut the call. I walked to where Grant is and stopped few inches away from him. He's more like a father to Henry. He does look young to be his grandfather. I mean, he's not that young but he's too old to be his grandpa. His suit did a good job to make him look thirty.

"I am going back to Canada," he said. My heart raced as soon I heard the place. My aunt is there. And he knew where exactly she is in Canada. I wanted to ask if I can go with him but he beat me into that.

"You can't come with me right now." The little hope in my heart died. "Why?" I demanded, staring at Grant hopelessly.

"He won't let you. Don't worry I'll watch your aunt. But I bet she's safe in Marcus'." He smiled and patted my shoulder.

He won't let me. I bet the 'he' was Henry. "So, I don't have a say on this? And he has?" I squealed rabidly. I gripped my phone tighly. I am really mad at how he controls the situation here. Henry is not my king, or master or god. And Grant is the boss here. He's the master of this house and yet he's actually letting Henry controls everything. "I am leaving here, anyway," I muttered absentmindedly. Then I cussed when I realized I said it loud. It's supposed to be my secret plan. But it's too late to cover it up. Grant is now gawking at me.

"Does Henry know about this?"he asked and then answered his own question. "Of course he doesn't." I found it amusing so I smirked.

"Well, goodluck girl!" He patted my shoulder again. I didn't expect him to say that. I thought he's gonna be alarmed and call Henry. But he did not. I raised my brow.

"You sounded so calm," I commented, amused.

He chuckled loudly and pointed out the mansion using his index finger. "I am calm. But that man inside the house, is not. If you wanted to leave, well go on. But..."he trailed off.

  "But?"

"I don't think he will let you." He finished it with a serious tone in his voice. "We have to go. Enjoy playing hide and seek with my grandson, Maib!"

I rolled my eyes but did not throw comments anyway. I finally smiled at him. "Have a safe trip?"

"Hell yeah! Seriously Maib, what I really want to tell you is this. Give him a chance. Henry is the best young man I have met."

Seriously? "Of course, you'd say that. He is your grandson!" I couldn't hide the sarcasm in my voice. But Grant continued. "Even if he isn't. I would still give him that credit. Get to know him better. That way you'll see what I am trying to tell you. I suggest you start from what has happened to his father." He gulped after that. I can sense that his not comfortable remembering Henry's father, his son.

The morning fresh air blew and it played with my hair. I heard Grant said goodbye and I gave him a quick hug. Then he walked to the car and get in. Darius who's at the driver's seat waved at me. I waved goodbye too. The car roared to life and after sixty seconds it was gone. They were gone. And I was left behind. With Henry.
